I actually think the belt looks the best on Sheamus that it's looked on anyone since Cena himself. Maybe it's the contrast of the gold with Sheamus's uber-pale skin, but I think it totally works.
That said, I would have loved it if MVP was getting Sheamus's push right now. That belt was MADE for his waist.

I am in the club of the belt needs changed. Hell if Cena is WWE champ then let him wear it during his reigns, but for the love of god it makes other champions look as if they are holding a toy.

My signature is pleading for a return to the last incarnation of the WWE Championship belt.

Maybe they could do what edge did and put the wrestlers "symbol" in the middle. For Sheamus it would be a Celtic Cross.

That belt just looks silly on Sheamus... well on anyone NOT John Cena really, but it looked especially dumb on him for whatever reason. yea i agree thats how it alway is whenever someone else holds that title

If you think that's bad, wait until the Undertaker wins the belt.

They're not gonna change it because the internet thinks it should go. They just aren't. They'll change it when they see fit. Truth is, you guys are all making pretty valid points about the belt, but none of it means they'll suddenly log onto WC and start crying because people hate the belt. It sells tons of merch and truth be told, I doubt most people even care about how the belt looks.

I think the present title is fine. Personally, though, favorite version of the WWE title is by far the one that was used up until Trips won the Undisputed title.

I honestly wished that MVP would get a run with the WWE Title before they changed the design. He's about the only guy on the roster who could make the bling-bling belt work.

True... even Cena, who that title was designed for, doesn't even do the rapper gimmick anymore! What a Marine would EVER want with a belt that looks like that is beyond me.

I just find it funny that people want a "new" title but then suggest bringing back one from over 20 years ago.

Well, if the Big Gold Belt can stand the test of time, why can't any of the WWF/WWE's past (and superior to the spinner) designs?

I don't think it will change until Cena is no longer the top star in the industry. So Now WWE= The entire? Seriously when did that happen? I don't remember NOAH being put out and Kenta retiring. Perhaps you could provide me with a link of some kind? Oh and did dannielson retire too?Because I heard he just signed a contract with the WWE but heh I can't blame him if he wants to retire. Though I think he's only like 30 so it'd be sort of strange. So let me get this straight, a guy no one outside of Japan can name and no one who doesnt follow the indy scene can name > Cena
