Ok. I'm not saying it's meaningless, but what I am saying is that there is a bigger audience, and sure it's made up mostly of children, that like the belt. The IWC represents a vocal minority, just because they disapprove of a belt doesn't mean it should be changed. Just as someone posted above, they signed a deal with Mattel to market the belt some more. So if that's the case, then why bring back a belt from 20 years ago to please a few guys on the internet? That would be stupid. Majority rules, fine, let's go with that. WHen The Rock and Austin has "personalized" titles, the crowd popped huge for them and replicas sold well. Yet the personalized version wasn't kept for everyone dispite that fact. The Rock had a personalized belt, too?

I think you missed my larger point, or at least the one I was attempting to make. I do not disagree that they move replicas, I do not think that the should stop seling it. My dislike of it is not based on "I must see a traditional look", it's based on my distain for the played-out fad of overly-blinged out crap for no apparent reason. The fad is dying, thankfully, and as it becomes no longer "cool", the replicas will sell less. The argument is that, by diversifying the products, adding a second replica to the shopping list, the kids who have already purchased the replica bling belt will be demanding the new one as well. This makes more money, and that is the goal, plain and simple. Okay, now I get your point. And I agree that it's really way out of touch with the current times, as even in 2005 it was a bit aged. But what you're asking here is Vince McMahon to get with the times to update something. Do you see the problem? Yep, and I iknow it's completely futile. I just...I can't help myself, I keep telling myself he'll change, that it'll never happen again...wait, no, that's not it. SOrry, tangent.
The Rock had a personalized belt, too?
Yeah, pretty sure it was the IC title, but still personalized.

The belt probably has a few years left in it before they switch.

Wikipedia (take it for what its worth) says there was a custom Rock belt designed, but it was never put on tv. EDIT: found it.
