What the hell is skinning the cat, does not knowing this make me a mark? ?? It's where the guy is thrown out, but holds ontot he top rope and manages to get back in. Shawn Micheals and Chris Jericho used to do this a lot.

Shawn Micheals and Chris Jericho used to do this a lot. Yeah, it's usually used as a testament to the wrestlers "tremendous upper body strength". Other notable cat skinners include Owen Hart and I believe, Koko B. Ware.

I like the one moment where Jerry Lawler was doing commentary, then the countdown was done and his music started playing and he started talking about what he was going to do, and as soon as he hit the ring he got eliminated. Then he got back on the headset and continued doing commentary. Pure hilarity! I love that. I think he was even in the middle of a quote. He said part of it, whipped off his headset, got eliminated, came back and finished the quote. Hilarious.

If you think about it, Maven won the Rumble where he eliminated the Undertaker because Maven was never officially eliminated. He was only "physically eliminated" by Taker. I never understood the "They can't continue, so better luck next year!" Where was that in the rules? Can you "Quit" the Rumble? Confusing stuff. Also, I can't wait until after this years Rumble, because I sense a 20 Year Anniversery DVD Collection with all the matchs and perhaps a documentary. I want. I want. I want! A Royal Rumble Anthology has been announced to be in production to be released early next year, your wish will become reality

You guys are totally forgetting one of the most memorable returns in the history of the Royal Rumble: the comeback of Billy Gunn.
Complete with four weeks of "Billy Gunn Moments".

Easily, Ax and Smash drawing one and two and the crowd not knowing what was going to happen. That was great.

Mystery entrants rule. Mr. Perfect coming back in the 2002 Rumble would have been AWESOME had they not ruined it by announcing it on RAW.

One of my favorite moments was when HBK and the Bulldog started off as #1 and #2 respectively, and they were the last 2 men in the match. I also loved the 3 faces of Foley Royal Rumble appearances. That was just funny to me. I voted for mystery entrants though.

My personal favourite on the surprise entrants stakes was the Big Show in 2001 when he came in and choke slammed everyone - for me the best Rumble ever. Wasn't that the one where they went to an advert break as soon as his music hit? In the UK, yeah. That pissed me off no end.

Having mystery opponents was always the best. But it was better before they came out, mainly because the rumors were that it would be some huge star making a comeback. But it was usually a let down. Like when there were 2 mystery entrants and it was Cactus Jack, Dude Love and Mankind. Though Mr. Perfect returning was awesome, then it was spoiled by Goldust.

I realize it's not on the thread, but, I must say, my favorite SINGLE Rumble moment was Bret's surprise entrance in 1994. I marked out like only a little 9 year old could.

Mystery entrants run away with it. Kind of obvious, I guess.
So, no one likes the whole "How can they eliminate [insert big guy]?!" that pops up every year?
I mean, how else can someone like JR call VISCERA a favorite. Something funny about this year, Vis came in and JR hypes the whole size thing, and Chris Masters eliminates Vis. That seemed like an oportune time to praise Masters's strength, but JR just go "And there goes Viscera!"

I always like the 'everyone pile on the big guy' moments.
Also, when a faction enters the ring and they get teamed on. Like when Evolution came to a Battle Royal once as a four-some, and swaggered in like they owned the place ... and then got pummeled by everyone else.

I grew up a gigantic Piper fan. Even when he was feuding with Hogan, I cheered for him. So to see him win a title was a very, very big deal for me as a 13 year old mark.
