I love the Rumble. It is most definitely my favorite PPV, but I was wondering what everyone's favorite "reoccuring" moments.
The Mystery Entrants. Nothing like hearing Michael Cole going "Goldust?!" or The King, "Honky Tonk Man!?"
Skinning the Cat. Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho have cornered the market on this. Shelton has inventive ways of not being elminated too...
"How can anyone eliminate [Insert Big Guy]!?Mark Henry, Rikishi, The Big Show, Viscera, 3MW, and even Matt Morgan got this reaction when they entered the ring. Helps build up a wrestler who does get the elimination.
From Beginning to End! What endurance!! Maybe a little overdone, but Beniot and Flair's coast to coast victories were awesome. Rey laying down a mass majority of the time was meh.
Crowd Countdown. 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...Buzz!
[Midcarder] could go to Wrestlemania! "Simon Dean is going to Wrestlemania!"
Crusierweights never make it to the ring. Scotty 2 Hotty gets Camel Clutched, Nunzio gets his number stolen by Kurt Angle, Spike Dudley gets chokeslammed by a rampaging, eliminated Kane. The only time a cruiserweight seems to make it is if they are will to do a shooting star press to the ground (Where is that London gif anyway? Snitsky looked like a monster.)
Other...I am sure I missed something. The show is just so awesome.

There would always be suprises but nowadays there never is, ALL thirty participants are always named in advance.

I wish there was a stipulation that participants in the Rumble cannot have won the WWE/World title. They could build up several mid/upper-midcarders on all three shows, giving them all a legitimate chance at winning. And the winner most likely wouldn't be in the main event, but he'd get his title shot at Wrestlemania. Or maybe they could even change those rules and give the Rumble winner a Money in the Bank clause, which would give even more time to build up that wrestler.

Yeah Mystery Entrants are always good. But now WWE have a habit of announcing mystery entrants couple of weeks before hand, like they did with Mr. Perfect. If that had been totally unannounced the Pop he received would have been x10.
I Also like how Future Feuds and Possible Reunions are teased during Rumble Matches. Still Remember as a Kid the Staredown between Hogan/Warrior at Rumble'90 when they had eliminated everyone and were looking at each other waiting on the next guy to come in and then did a Criss-Cross with the Ropes.

A lot of great non title feuds have really taken off at the rumble too. Jericho/HBK springs to mind.

Definitely the mystery entrants are the most consistent at giving great moments, as someone said Mr. Perfect coming out & spit/slapping his gum made e mark out like I was 6 years old again. I love the Rumble match itself for being different. Road Dogg coming ou & adopting "the foetal position" on the bottom rope was a clever twist as was Bossman's refusal to step into the ring until the last entrant. Oh & when Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie had duelling chairs. All good fun

I dunno if I have a favorite recurring moment. After the 91 Rumble, they've all seemed a bit too choreographed. The formula is getting a bit too predictable. Not always in a bad way, mind you, but they need to have suprise entrants in it each year now, or it gets a bit stale.
My favorite Rumble moment of all time, though, was Flair winning the title. Best. Rumble. Ever.

My personal favourite on the surprise entrants stakes was the Big Show in 2001 when he came in and choke slammed everyone - for me the best Rumble ever.

I really didnt like when both Rey and Benoit lasted the whole way. I always thought that should be something that only one guy ever did. Kinda lost all of its magic now
