I suppose I can look on the bright side. Take away the runs Moyer gave up, we only would've lost by 1 run!
But yeah. Can't get a single run with the bases loaded and no one out? Yeahhhhh...let me know when this f***ing AA reject of a team is gone.

Next 4 All-Star Game locations: I'd be more excited about Mets getting an ASG but I've never been a fan of that, it always felt tedious to me as a glorified exhibition show/game.[/Minority Opinion]

Still, considering they're going to have the DH in NL parks now for it, it hurts my interest in it considerably. I can't stand the idea of DH rules in the Mets' ballpark.

Yeahhhhh...let me know when this f***ing AA reject of a team is gone. Haha, ohhhh baseball fans. It's venting. Basically the way I see it, I KNOW that the Phillies have a World Series-caliber team, but right now they're sucking. and sucking bad. I can understand that teams have slumps and all that, and I keep hearing Phils will break out of it. But it's closing in on a month of this crap. And since this slump started (realistically I'll say it started with the 2nd game against the Pirates back on the 18th of May) the Phillies have gone 7-15, with 7 of those losses being a result of not scoring a run - even going a whole series without scoring one! That's bad. For reference, the rest of May the team was 12-3. So I am aware that they are a talented team. But to sit here day after day and watch them blow games, squander their (now gone) lead in the division, and seeing no end in sight is torture of the most extreme degree. Sure my reaction might be a little extreme, but I think I can hear my dad cursing a blue streak from here. My dad's at least 10 miles away, by the way.

You should be more use to them sucking it up than winning, right? I know how you feel though, it can be frustrating as hell watching your favorite team suck it up (trust me, I know).

Brought up on it ever since I can remember actually. And yes, I have been quite accustomed to them being terrible. Right now, I'm likening it to winning the lottery when you're near broke...and then the government comes by a few years later to let you know you were declared the winner in error and they're going to need all the winnings back. I don't want to go back...

And to think I wanted the Mets to sign him. Oh well, good thing they didn't.

So... yeah... I'm digging Carlos Santana so far. Great pick up by Cleveland. Granted it's only one game, but still... a double AND a homer in his first major league game!

The Mets take Game 2 of this series with a 3-1 win over the Orioles. Mike Pelfrey v. Kevin Millwood match-up tomorrow afternoon. Of importance, this is the 1st series win on the road this year.
Jose Reyes had 2 hits to lead the offense & Francoeur homered as well. Despite his record & some bad luck, Brian Matusz is a good pitcher & he performed well tonight: 8 IP, 5 hits, 3 runs, 0 BB, 4 Ks, 13 swinging strikes, 9:10 GB:FB on 96 pitches. He was certainly assisted by a bad approach at the plate by Met hitters such as: David Wright(10 pitches in 4 ABs), Angel Pagan(9/4ABs), Ruben Tejada(8/3ABs) & Rod Barajas(8/3ABs).
On the mound, Hisanori Takahashi tried to bounce back from two rough outings & he did that tonight, to the tune of: 7 IP, 6 hits, 1 run, 1 BB, 2 Ks, 5 swinging strikes, 10:9 GB:FB on 93 pitches.

I still hate that K-Rod is allergic to having a 1-2-3 inning. This will bite him in the ass hard if he keeps it up in the foreseeable future.

But then again, I've always thought he was overrated even while he was on the Angels so that take as you will.
