I'm sorry you feel that way. I personally am looking forward to another Paul Rudd movie... Steve Carell is icing on the cake. Totally straight and all, but I simply look forward to another Paul Rudd movie because he's a beautiful f***ing man. By now, I'd call it the Will Ferrell argument. The only laugh Will Ferrell gets out of me these days is when I see the box office returns of his movies. What makes me laugh more is what they are willing to pay him. Didn't Will Ferrell top one of those recent "Most Overpaid Stars in Hollywood" lists? The list charted what they're paid against what they bring in, and there were a ton of big stars on the list like Cameron Diaz and Nicole Kidman, if I recall. And at the time, I remember being surprised that Will was on there. But this was around the time of Semi-Pro or Step Brothers (one of the two), and after then, it all made sense to me.

Step Brothers pulled in $100m+ in the domestic box office which is a great haul for most movies, let alone the R-Rated comedy it was.

Please, stop wasting your time hating something you don't like, and go out there and find something you DO like, to praise, instead, while those of us who dig Carrell's schtick happily watch another few movies of his.
Live and let live, sir.

I seriously thought I remembered reading that it was a bomb. Ah well, moral of the story: don't believe everything you think you vaguely remember having read. As for Carrell, I actually enjoy his movies. Then again, I only ever really see his dramedies like Little Miss Sunshine and Dan In Real Life. I don't know what my tolerance would be for his alleged shtick.

www.forbes.com/2009/11/17/hollywoods-most-overpaid-stars-business-entertainment-overpaid-stars.htmlThe Will Ferrell article you are refering to is right there. While Step Brothers did well, it didn't make any money because of Ferrell's salary. On topic though, comedic actors seem to have less of a self life than actors who start out in other genres. I remember after 40 Year Old Virgin and Little Miss Sunshine, no one had a bad word to say about Carrell. He has made some questionable decisions when picking movies. But I'm always the one cheering for a comeback. I hope he can make something better in the near future.

I'm not. Gone With The Wind remake, here we come! No, seriously, I love Steve. He plays the character well. And he voices the world's greatest supervillian in Despicable Me.

Yeah, I'm straight, too. But if Paul Rudd's in town, and he's asking about me, well... I've seen Paul Rudd....In person! ;D My friend met Paul Rudd at a restaurant, and didn't even recognize him. Me, meanwhile, would have kidnapped him to Vegas and demand that he find a way to make me his "Employee Of The Month" shirt from The 40 Year Old Virgin. Rudd may give A Double a run for the title of The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived.

Why not find something you DO like, curmudgeons of the world? Anyway, throw me in with the "more Paul Rudd please" camp. Hopefully if he is a guest for Conan for TBS, he could bring back the Mac and Me bit, which I never tire of.

Plus, if you don't like it, don't see it. Why take enjoyment from others because you don't like something. Steve Carell asked me to ask you to not see his movies anymore. So all is square.

I like Carrell alright, so I got no problem with him in movies. Plus, as has been said, any Paul Rudd flick ain't a bad thing.

Dear Steve Carrell,
Please consider accepting any of the following movie roles:
- Barbarian Warrior - 70's Porn Star (the mustache is NOT optional!) - Corrupt Detective/Police Officer (I'm talking real corrupt. "Bad Lieutenant" levels of corruption.) - Post-Apocalyptic Warlord - Gay Wizard - Criminal Mastermind
Don't be afraid to accept roles where you expose your whang. As we all know, exposed naughty bits means nominations.
Thanks for reading.
Sincerely, Hopeless In Hoboken
