I could do without this. Swagger should never have been anything more than a JTTS. There's a whole laundry list of people who should've been champion before Swagger was, and who deserve it more.

Geez! I'm really shocked none of you mentioned the Big Whet Sloppy Kiss he planted on Vickie's left cheek on Smackdown. That gives the term SMACKDOWN and all new meaning. Vickie was GUSHING! Thwagger is gonna be her next, "Mystery Date". That just made me think Eric Escobar V2.0, Super Vanilla Gorilla edition..... Please don't let it happen. D:

Meh. This just further shows that WWE belts mean nothing anymore. A guy who has been losing like crazy on Raw now becomes the heavyweight champion. Whoop De Doo!! How come there are never any young stars who I genuinely enjoy, and who have been seemingly shafted for a main event title run never can, but the "Paul Romas" and "Stan Stasiaks" seem to always get the title? First Sheamus, now this goof? And my problem with this isn't mainly Swagger and his ability, but just how he had been made to look by WWE before, and now I'm supposed to take him seriously a s a world champion, who can carry the company on his shoulders??? Get F***in real. That has more to do with the Raw creative team's inability to be consistent and seeing the midcard as expendable.

I was so sure he was going to be the first to cash it in and fail to win the title.
I am glad I was wrong.

Well, I hope they can do something with this. So far Swagger's career has bored the shit out of me. I have to give this a little extra hate as well since I was hoping Jericho would finally have a meaningful run with the title with Edge chasing for a few months until finally taking it.
I also am sick of the whole MITB concept, it screams fluke champion to me.
I'll try and give him a chance though, maybe he can take the ball and run with it.

I think people really are exaggerating his lisp to an almost ridiculous degree. I think he's been great on the mic recently, and a feud with Edge could be awesome in terms of both matches and promos. Your right. The man is a damn good wrestler. His lisp is an excuse for the haters why he should be champ. But for the ones who say it maybe too soon for him to win it, I see their point. Weather I agree or not, Its a valid point.

I reckon with MITB, they often pull the trigger on an early cash-in (REALLY early in this case) in order to avoid a Kennedy situation, where someone's push has to be stopped due to injury. I like Swagger, and won't judge his title reign until its over, but it is very sudden. I still think he's great on the stick. Some people make it seem like he's spitting all over the place and is incomprehensible, when that's far from the truth in my opinion.

I agree, like some people said, you can only hear it if you are lsitening TO hear it.But i think the main reason they make a big deal is because since ECW other wrestler mocked Swagger because of his lisp, then its the most obvious case

I mean, come on....I'll own up to exaggerating it, if you'll....even ONE OF YOU GUYS....will own up to it being very, VERY prominent when he speaks. I bet not ONE of you will. ;D And you know...it's not a crippling thing. It's not. But after SO many past champions at least being able to pronounce their "s"'s and speak CLEARLY.....it DOES stand out, and it draws attention to him in a NEGATIVE way. It would be akin to having a champion that spoke like Elmer Fudd, and had nothing to cover that up with. I know Robbymac is going to bring up Dusty there...but even THEN, the "Dweem" was just so larger than life as a character that you could focus on other things and NOT his ridiculous accent, his lisp, or his trouble pronouncing "r"'s. And besides....that was sort of the point of the Dusty character. He was a common man, with common faults and a very common way of speaking. He was supposed to contradict Flair in every way. Swagger? It's just laughable when this big pale gorrilla sits there and mean mugs the camera and then (much like Lashley) he speaks and the entire illusion of badassery is ruined. It doesn't help that a LOT of the main event talent he may be facing have names with the letter "S" in them, or "S" sounds in them. Like I said, I'll own up to exaggerating it, if even ONE of the Swagger flock will admit that it's there and it is NOTICEABLE.

Well i didnt notice But considerating i didnt know what lisp was until last year ,and never noticed it on any wrestler im not a good example
