Makes sense, also, since the Pac-10 already has two teams comprised of total suck, Washington and Washington State. Adding Baylor into the mix would just be cruel.... USC and the eventual number 1 pick in the Draft Jake Locker, would like to dispute your claim that Washington is comprised of total suck. Washington State, yeah they do suck, Baylor could be good if Robert Griffin is healthy. Washington lost every game two years ago and went 5-7 last year. That is comprised of total suck.

@gamedayfootball: Ducks dismiss Masoli from football program. Couldn't live up to Coach's expectations. Failed second chance!

More on Nebraska to the Big Ten
The school's regents met today via teleconference and they apparently asked if there was even need for an informal vote on the subject. The result was reportedly near-unanimous in favor of pursuing Big Ten membership.

Chip Brown of OrangeBloods.com on ESPN SportsCenter is reporting that the Big XII is dead(there has to be a vote by June 14th to dissolve the conference first) with Nebraska joining the Big Ten(with Missouri likely following) and that Texas, Colorado, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State will all pursue joining the Pac-10 if the Big XII disbands. texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1092612That will leave Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, and Baylor without a conference.

Now the fun starts.
Baylor and the Kansas Schools will find a semi decent home. Iowa state is up shit creak without a paddle.

This is precisely why the Mountain West didn't invite Boise State on Monday. Wait and see what happens to the Big XII. Now that it looks pretty much finished, the MWC can offer invitations to Kansas, Kansas State and Boise State and stop at 12. Or add Iowa State and Baylor (traveling partner for TCU) and go to 14. Or possibly also add Nevada and Fresno St. and go to 16 to shoehorn their conference into any sort of playoff discussion, which will be the next step once the conferences are determined.

I read stories about the SEC was looking at A&M and Oklahoma as well. Hard to imagine A&M leaving the Longhorns behind seeing as that virtually every scenario has those two hand-in-hand like teenagers in love.
If the 16 team format does happen, the SEC is gonna look at adding possibly four schools. And I'm starting to think it won't be what I initially thought (Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Miami). Ideally, you try to expand viewership. You're not adding any eyeballs by adding schools in states you already have universities. So it wouldn't surprise me to see the SEC look at Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and possibly North Carolina.
The geography element is still an issue for the non-profitable college sports, but FB doesn't give a s***. It's where the majority of the money comes from.

I find it hard to see any way that the Aggies can go off without UT. State law has them tied together, and SEC will not bring both Okie schools and UT, TAMU and Tech. Because if Baylor is throwing a hissy fit about the PAC 10 thing, Tech will throw one 10 times bigger.

There's only one flaw in this. I don't think Nebraska would be bitching about Bo Pelini since we had FOUR AGONIZING YEARS under Bill "I alienate my team before I leave" Callahan. Bo's first two years were 9 and 10 win seasons. Hell we were two seconds away from a BCS game. But I digress, it was funny as hell, nonetheless. Now the fun starts. Baylor and the Kansas Schools will find a semi decent home. Iowa state is up s*** creak without a paddle. Well, Iowa State could go down to I-AA. Hell, they might win a championship there.

A&M will play Texas every year no matter what conference either of them end up in period. No amount of money can block that Texas lawmakers will see to it assure you even if behind closed doors. A&M in the SEC is interesting and I'd love to see LSU and the aggies once a year

Pete Carroll got out because he knew the s*** was about to hit the fan. The timing of his departure and this latest round of news is very suspicious to me. Surely Lane Kiffin can keep this program clean once and for all

I got to give a big thumbs up to Chip Brown. He's been doing an unbelievable job getting the stories before everyone else...
I don't know why the Big Ten keeps doing this. Quit treating Notre Dame with kid gloves. Go sixteen and if they're still not interested, have fun in the ACC. Believe me, ND knows they'll be losing out on a TON of revenue playing hardball with Jim Delaney. Plus, who knows what's gonna happen to the BCS with 4 superpower conferences. Maybe they force ND out of the equation altogether as a consequence for their choice of remaining unaffiliated with a superpower conference.
It's gotta be Rutgers and Syracuse. They've been coveting the NY/NJ market since this talk began. Plus, it's forcing ND's hand because the Big East is probably on the verge of being raided again with this time around, it could be the nail in the coffin. The basketball conference will be nothing but private schools like DePaul, Marquette, St. John's and probably Butler.

Notre Dame needs to realize that the only people that give a crap about Notre Dame anymore are alumni. They've coasted too far and too long on a legacy that hasn't been relevant in almost 20 years. And with the landscape of college football changing, this little "freelance" thing they've been doing is going to become an antiquated model. They need to face reality, join a conference, and get over themselves or risk becoming even more irrelevant than they already are.

Unconfirmed Rumors abound on Big Ten expansion(Source: twitter.com/NCAAsports:
1) WFNI in Indianapolis reported that Notre Dame, Syracuse, Rutgers, and Maryland are also joining the Big Ten.
2) Another rumor has the Big Ten getting Texas, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and Missouri(Missouri only if Notre Dame accepts joining Big Ten).
