I know many IWC members such as myself are quick to proclaim that we're done with the WWE, that we're never going to watch it again, etc, etc, usually after the E does something particularly boneheaded. More often than not, the general response is along the lines of 'see you next week', and more often then not, yeah, we're back next week.
However, this Danielson thing seems like the sort of thing that could definitely send a helluva lot of IWC members away from the WWE for good. I think only firing Punk for a similarly stupid reason could probably match this.
I could definitely see this as the sort of thing that finally drives away a good lot of the older, periphery demographic that it's becoming increasingly obvious the WWE doesn't want. For me, yes, you'll probably see me bitching in the Raw thread next week regardless. But for a lot of fans... I dunno. This is a pretty good last straw.

For me - it might be.
We've had our intelligence insulted by mediocre programming for years. Big Dick Johnson, D-Generation X and other childish angles which crossed the supposed boundaries that Danielson did.
Earlier this year, Triple H performed his finishing move on Hornswoggle, who by all accounts is supposed to be considered damn near a child.
I just can't do it anymore - I like Punk, I like Edge, I like Jericho - but as I get older, I find less and less to enjoy about the WWE. I really enjoyed the NXT angle - but with Danielson gone, I think it might be time to follow suit.

I'm done. It was painful enough to sit through their shows before, then last Monday they moderately sparked my interest with the Invasion angle, and now my interest in that is killed. The only rookie I'm even partially invested in now is Wade. I don't like him enough to sit through two hours of guest host BS, Khali, Hornswoggle, Ted DiBiase, and all the other awful stuff RAW throws at you.

I haven't been watching WWE on a regular basis (I only caught the tail-end of Raw this pass week because I was waiting for commercials to end with the baseball game I was watching to begin with) for over a year now, so this won't be a new process for me.

I don't care in the least about Danielson.
But this whole thing does remind me of how much I despise the catering to kids, leading to a lame-ass like Cena being the company's biggest star, not to mention the Lord of the Flies in Hornswoggle.
I won't stop watching, but I'd be lying if I said that I had any interest in the current product.

About 3 or 4 months into the kiddie era, I stopped watching WWE. I still follwed them on the internet, but I canceled my subscription to WWE 24/7 On Demand and stopped ordering PPVs. This past year I ordered the Royal Rumble and OTL. Besides watching their programming, I am done giving any money to WWE.

I guess i'm just not as picky as others. to each his own....everyone has things they enjoy about different tv shows and when you're not entertained its time to call it a day. but for me i'll still watch.

It isn't the last straw for me watching. That only comes when my periodic burn outs happen every 5-6 years, but this is for me in another sense. This is the last straw for me ever trying to understand what WWE wants to be.
I mean, they claim to be PG and a company made to cater to the younger fans. So they eliminate chair shots to the head first off. I applauded that, because it should have been done years ago. But then they eliminate blood. I'm sorry, but what kid is going to be traumatized by a trickle of blood oozing down CM Punk's head? Even so, it fits in with PG so I have to give them the benefit of the doubt.
There's where they lose me though. They claim to be PG, so the edgy promos have to be gone ... unless your name is Triple H, and you can come out spitting double entendre and making sexual references in your promos. They claim they want to separate themselves from Chris Benoit, so they eliminate choking, yet JBL and Chris Jericho are allowed to hang each other with cables before their match in 2008. Then Shawn Michaels and Triple H are allowed to use a move that is as associated with Benoit as the sharpshooter is to Bret. But god forbid, in the middle of a gang style violent attack, someone dare choke the ring announcer with his tie for 10 seconds.
WWE contradicts themselves so much it's insane. They don't even know what they want to be, but others get to suffer for it. Make your damn minds up.

It's not necessarily the release that angers me, it is however proof that WWE has become something that is just too damn hard to watch or fathom with their logic. They have become something that I can't really enjoy anymore.

I haven't watched on a regular basis for a while now. The first time I stopped watching weekly was just before the whole "Katie Vick" incident. Then I picked back up during the return of ECW but stopped again a few months later. Now, if something good happens (like the NXT angle), then I'll watch. Until then, I just follow online. Most times it feels like I'm not missing much. And aside from DVDs, I can hardly watch wrestling on my own. It's much more fun watching it with friends.

I'm not done watching, but this will be the last time that I actually believe that the WWE will do the right thing in terms of their programming. How is hitting someone with a lead pipe or sledgehammer, or throwing someone into the pit of doom acceptable where a choke is not?
I will be less interested and less likely to put up with the stupid nonsense that is on Raw, if it gets too stupid I'll just turn it off.

To me im really on the fence about this if it is true and we get a Bryan Danielson typed letter then I may be done but if its a work then it will be interesting but right now I am very confused unless we get some statement from Danielson or if this hits the mainstream media.

If i had a wrestling show to watch on Mondays (not TNA) i would not watch Raw for a while. Not because the "Internet Darling!" was fired, but because i hate corporate America. The WWE should NOT be looking at the sponsors as consumers and giving into what they want. Because if they do and it turns out that lets say 1 million people turn out because of it, the sponsors are gone. You stick to the game plan of making money the way you know how. Period.
I know that's idealistic but it's just how i feel. I have no problem if Vince makes a dumb decision. It's his company. I have a problem if a sponsor makes a dumb decision because they think it'll effect something that is not proven. Violent video games don't make kids violent, violent television don't make kids violent...the WWE doesn't make kids violent.
