I wonder how many fans realize that the "WOO" chant after a chop was started in the mid 90s as a way of mocking Ric Flair for constantly doing them and being "boring and outdated" doing so. The true meaning gets of stuff gets screwed around all the time. That's language. If its accepted as such then that is what it is now. Actually from what I remember it was started by a bunch of guys who felt bad about Ric Flair getting screwed over by WCW.

Are you insinuating that there is rampant and blatant revisionist history among both fans and the company themselves? That is a bunch of bunk, Mister, and I refuse to believe it for a second.

The WWE should add to the "banned" list :
Jack Swagger's ankle lock All of Michelle McCool's moves and the Lay-Cool gimmick R-Truth's theme music (or R-Truth all together) Kaval Gail Kim Christian

No that you can accept the origin of something and that the meaning has changed for what ever reason.

Let's consult the Occam's Razor theory... and it says the following... ahem...
"MAYBE THERE JUST AREN'T MANY PEOPLE ON THE ROSTER THAT USE KNIFE EDGE CHOPS IN THEIR REGULAR OFFENSE"
The simplest explanation is usually the correct one, pro wrestling usually being the exception that proves the rule.

This just in:
Wrestlers I mean entertainers are no longer allowed to wear wrestling attire or street clothes in the ring because it reminds fans that there are other wrestling promotions besides the WWE.
The WWE also will be deleting it's entire history outside of workers currently in the company as they do not want people to know there were other wrestlers in the company at one point. This will include all past ppv's, live events, tv shows and title histories. Smackdown will now be called Rey's Playground.
All moves will be re named with each wrestler's name in front of them. Jericho armbar....and so on.
They will also be changing thier name to OOE which will be Only Organization Ever.

Wasn't Shawn the last person to regularly do the chop spot? There's a difference between a move being "banned" and people simply not doing it.

Chops may or may not be banned by WWE
But, if they ARE banned, some WWE Superstars may or may not be choosing to not follow that ban.
But, if they are NOT banned, some Superstars may or may not be choosing to not use chops as a way to distance themselves from almost every wrestler ever. ~source - Rajah.com

People should just start randomly going WHOOOOOOOOOO during random moves, to confuse Vince. Do it during moves that are disliked, like the STF so Vince gets confused and bans it!

Are karate chops still legal?
Cause...you know, Bob Barker did that once.

Sounds to me like Vince must have putchased the old NWA Rulebook from 1975 along with all that footage of the promotion. If it's true we have this to look forward to -
So there we go, no more judo chops or karate thrusts to the throat. Vince also gets a pig every month and can walk his cattle down the main street of stamford.

I'm not shocked if this is true. As far as everything else we've kinda posted here as a joke, ANY time a chop is done, whether on tv or in your daily life, some one will go "Whooo" that's just a given. This is bigger than almost anything else out there.
As far as the likelihood of this being true, hey-who would have thought that they'd stop using the phrases "fans" and "wrestlers"?
