I don't care much myself... although I DO wish Ryder would be smart and incorporate them into his moveset/gimmick ie, hit three knife edge chops, get the crowd to say "Wooo!" with em, then look at the crowd and yell "You know it!"

You know, I very rarely talk about my wrestling past here. But I'll tell you one thing. Chops were the one move that I never had to sell, They legitimately hurt, aren't very exciting to watch and are pretty much pointless. I only ever chopped people if they chopped me first. I always got a way better reaction from the fans by throwing a forearm to the head while my opponent was in the corner.
Funny thing is, even though I was working in the indies of the Canadian maritimes. When I did do a chop, the fans would Wooooo.

so it's clearly because of Benoit then If it's not Benoit's fault, it's Triple H's. Or a wizard. I'd say that about covers it.

Yoshi was chopping Primo tonight on Superstars. And the crowd did a faint "Wooo" afterwards.

To sound like a complete noob temporarily, what is so dangerous about the knife edge chop? It's not that they're dangerous (unless Kenta Kobashi is doing them to you, then maybe), the story is that Vince doesn't want guys doing them because they remind audiences of Flair and Flair is working for TNA now. Although it's not remotely beneath Vince to do that, if it's true that they've been banned for YEARS, that can't be the reason given that Flair has been with TNA for what... 6 months? We've known for a while that signature moves and finishes were "restricted", and even when they weren't, some guys (Big Show for example) have gotten annoyed at people who use their move-sets.
