What are some cameos from guys who hadn't appeared yet you can think of? Offhand I can recall Punk popping up at Mania 22, Sheamus taking a Pedigree in 2006, and the Cena / Bryan match on Velocity.
Also, while not quite the same, recall seeing a special on Discovery once that had a group of wrestlers being trained and such, and one of them was Cena.

The Kurt Angle/Tiger Ali Singh segment or segments. He didn't properly debut until later.

AFAIW, Punk also appeared in an Invasion-era segment with the Rock where he played a cameraman and the Rock made him take his WCW shirt off.

Mickie James was playing poker with Rey Mysterio and the APA while everyone was getting hyped over the Lesnar/Angle Iron Man match.
Colt Cabana was a photographer for Melina's entrance at Wrestlemania 24 and supposedly a druid for Taker at Wrestlemania 22.

I remember seeing a clip from SD or something where Punk and Mr. Kennedy appeared as fans asking Brock Lesnar for autographs.

Of course, none of these beat the first time RVD appeared on WWF television. What foresight to bring him in for that skit! Someone was psychic!

Yeah, he did. I think he had to kneel down and kiss Ted's sweaty foot.
And RVD was so laid back about the whole deal I think he even slapped Virgil on the back on his way out of the ring.
edit: I found it.

Paul London was a random fan who was assaulted during the Undertaker/Ric Flair feud in early 2002.
...can't remember which one smacked him around, though.
