Serious poll requires only serious options. Seriously!
Look at my serious icon.
I vote 2002, 2007 and 2009.

2006 and 2007 without a doubt for me. As for my 3rd choice, it's a tie between 2003-2005.

2007 was the worst, most would agree... 2002 and 3 were awful on raw, and awesome on smackdown

I went for 2003, 2006 & 2007.
2003 had some great wrestling on Smackdown but my wrestling enjoyment as a whole was killed with the reign of terror on the red brand.
2006 i don't remember well other than some incredibly boring things such as Rey Mysterio's title reign and the ridiculous Triple H burial of Cena on the mic before Mania. We did get that great Edge/Foley feud & then team and also Styles' worked shoot so it wasn't all bad.
2007.. all I can remember from this is the great ending of the Royal Rumble between Undertaker & Shawn Michaels. I loved the Vince as ECW Champion and then going crazy when he lost it and faking his own death angle. We all know how that turned out though and we went from a fake death angle to a leprechaun son in about 2 months.

2003
2007
2009
If it was an option...I would have added 2010 as well.

2003, 2006, and 2007 without a doubt. Maybe 2002 instead of 2003, but at least I can offhand think of some thinks that were genuinely enjoyable in 2002 - 2003 was just crap.

2003 for me.
Granted there was an amazing Mania, Cena's ascension really beginning, Lesnar and Angle's feud, and some bright spots in Raw's midcard (Jericho, Christian, RVD, Kane and Orton), there was the 9,000 pound gorilla known as Raw's main event scene. I'm a Triple H fan, but that was terrible. The main event scene of Raw really outweighed the good in 2003.
I actually kind of liked 2007. Cena's reign may have pissed a lot of people off, but he was bringing it in every match. The guy carried Khali to 2 watchable matches. You had Batista vs Taker, and the fact they were tearing the house down every time they faced. Then you had Batista vs Edge, which gave us some good matches. Hell, Edge in 2007 was awesome. There was the beginning of the Age of Orton. I'd say with the exception of Batista vs Khali, the main event scenes for both shows were delivering damn good matches. Even Batista and Khali's Punjabi Prison Match wasn't too bad. There was also Punk, Morrison and Miz's careers all rising.

If I could vote three times for 2007 I would as it may be my least favorite year of WWE ever.
the worst draft ever weak Wrestlemania tons of injuries and releases demotion of the ECW brand Hornswoggle as final cruiserweight champion the ridiculous McMahon's son angle
not to mention the whole Benoit incident

Originally posted 2009 but I'll go with 2007. What a crap, crap year that was. I can't even remember one interesting feud from it and I think I even stopped watching for a couple of months midway through the year. 2009 is certainly a close second though.
The last five years or so have all been a bit blah and 2003 and 2004 were sprinkled with great moments but weren't exactly great on the whole. I think 2010 has been more interesting than at least half of the previous decade already.

Wait, 2001 is technically the best? 2001 with the Alliance, the nonsensical run of the Two-Man Power Trip that had three (not two) men in it who had spent years all trying to kill each other, and a crappy Austin / Rock feud that led to an awesome video package and Kurt Angle being dumped to the midcard with a speed reserved for Jack Swagger and Chris Benoit?
Granted, Mania does a lot to appease that and I wouldn't change any of my votes to it (besides maybe 2006), but damn, 2001 sucked.

Whichever year had lots of focus on Bobby Lashley. I think it was 2007.

2001, hands down. ECW and WCW both went out of business (not that it was much of a loss in the case of WCW by that point)...and don't even get me started on that Alliance crap.

I voted for 2003, 2004, and 2006. Smackdown was almost unbearable to watch in those years.
