I just wondered how fans on the board from around the World feel about the stereotyping they get from WWE at times.
Being English, I generally hate the assumption that we are posh snobs, but Regal is just so awesome it's hard to find a problem with that. It's also refreshing to have Wade Barrett around now, a much better representation of an English man!
I do wonder what Russian fans think, all their wrestlers are generally heel. I can't imagine what Mexican fans thought when the Mexicools came out on lawnmowers.. etc etc.
Also what do people think when the crowd chant 'USA! USA! USA!' when the feud has nothing to do with their nationality. Most foreign wrestlers get treated to the chant. The best was La Resistance vs Regal & Tajiri. The fans chanting 'USA!' at La Resistance, apparently not realising the face team wasn't American either!
I'm not trying to start anything, just wondering what people's impressions are of it.
It used to bother me in the first 2/3 years but now I realise it shouldn't.

I'm an Australian... but as a Sri Lankan (which is sorta close to Indian); The way they present Khali is kinda cool. His music mainly. And is just.... heh. Though apparently that was his idea, not WWE/FCW's.

I think its all just part of the fun.
Its not like when the american fans start chanting U-S-A during UFC events against any foreign fighter. I find that disrespectful.

I hate that every latino wrestler has the need to randomly say things in Spanish to get crowd reactions. It makes them look like they're so stupid that they don't realize the crowd doesn't know any Spanish and they only cheer because "OMG that's funny". They do it even when they are talking to each other. What's the point? If you're gonna do that then have the whole conversation in spanish!
Other than that I don't mind. I didn't even mind The Guerreros' "Lie cheat and steal because we're latinos" gimmick.

Since the only wrestler from around here has been Ludwig Borga I don't know what to think. It's nice to think we care about the environment.

As an Englishman, I'm glad when Americans think we're all refined and gentlemanly.
The rest of the world have met our football hooligans, and harbour no such delusions.

The rest of the world have met our football hooligans, and harbour no such delusions. even then, your hooligans seem much more refined then our football/basketball "fans" who riot when their team loses (or even if they win). Watching this show, proves, even if they're talking about Masterbation and erections, Posh English accents make everything classier.

Like others have said I shouldn't like the posh Englishman but Regal is just so good at it I can't help but like it, at least Barrett and the British Bulldog are better representations.
On the whole I quite like stereotypes as long as they don't become offensive.
The USA stuff used to really bug me, I mellowed over the years but I'm still glad it seems to be disappearing. Before Hassan became a terrorist it was at it's worst, USA being chanted at an American was even more stupid than it being chanted when all the competitors were foreign.

As a South African, we don't get that much stereotyping. I remember there being a wrestler ages ago who was some sort of racist, pro-apartheid mercenary, but a) it was long before I started watching wrestling, possibly before I was born and b) we probably deserved it at the time. At the moment, we just have Justin Gabriel, who reminds everyone a lot that he's from South Africa but doesn't really depict any stereotypes.

If I may interject, I am being curious. How are Americans stereotyped in non-American promotions?

I'm german and since I can't remember that there ever was a german guy in the WWE I can't really say. I'm really interested to see how they would stereotype a german Superstar though.

I'm Portuguese, and Aldo Montoya wasn't any type of stereotype that I know of. Hell, "Montoya" isn't even a Portuguese name!
