i think the beat down was the most believable thing in wrestling thats happened in a while. sheamus is a big dude. he's like, 6'6", 280 pounds, and obviously built. DBD is like, 5'8"? 5'9"? not 200 pounds. he beat the miz for the title, who is *roughly* his size. i don't think it hurt DBD at all. it's just realistic. I don't watch wrestling for realism. If I wanted that, I'd go watch UFC. I like my smaller guys being able to put up a fight.

What I saw is that Sheamus is just better than Daniel Bryan. I mean he just beat him up with out even trying that hard. I have no idea how that can make Daniel Bryan look strong. What is said to me is that compared to Sheamus Daniel Bryan might as well be Zach Ryder.

I get where people have a problem with it, but I also don't think they booked it as a typical match. It's more akin to someone getting DQ'd with a chair, etc, only in this case, it was brutality.

While I feel bad for Bryan, I am happy that Cole wasn't dancing on the desk cheering for Shaemus for killing the "Hated" DBD. Kinda reminds me of three or four weeks ago on Raw, when Miz and Riley beat the snot out of DBD, Cole wasn't exactly in jubilation that time. Since I was at the show when Miz and Riley killed DBD (and forgot to record it) I didn't know what Cole's reaction was to the beatdown. But since he hates on DBD so religiously and absolutely I expected him to celebrate or yell "Good! Someone had to show him that he doesn't belong here, US Title or not! Stomp him flat so we can mail him back to Washington!"

The WWE has the opportunity to do something special with Daniel Bryan next week. They can have Sheamus come out and cut a promo, when all of a sudden, Bryan comes out of the crowd and sneak attacks Sheamus. Then Bryan could do his MMA-style trap elbows until a group of WWE agents/officials have to pry Bryan off of Sheamus.
Is this gonna happen? Probably not. But it would be a great way to build up Bryan as a nerd who has a dangerous side.

He only seemed to be on board for the beginning of the beatdown.

Skipped the five count. Attacked before the bell.
Doesn't mean squat.

Also, if you think DBD doesn't come back out and make Sheamus tap this monday, you're seein' stars.

I thought it hurt Bryan and THE MIZ! Why? Because Sheamus just beatdown Bryan who made the future WWE Champion tap TWICE! That's why WWE has to be careful making one guy look bad because it can hurt multiple wrestlers atleast in my eyes.

Miz has tapped out twice, sure, but Miz has also beatened down Bryan way, way more times than just once like Sheamus did.

The US Champion is meant to be the logical step up main eventer, yet Sheamus, a relatively new main eventer crushed him. True but Sheamus is also a 2-time champion that has, kayfabe, ended one guy's career and taken out a future Hall of Famer.

When has WWE ever had a match where a guy got squashed one week, albeit winning by DQ, and then the next week made the guy who squashed him tap clean? How does that benefit either guy? Is Sheamus going to be feuding with Daniel Bryan now? Shouldn't Bryan be pissed now that he got assaulted blatantly and seek revenge?
I'm guessing not and the next week will just have Bryan wrestling... Zack Ryder or something with little mention, possibly on Superstars. But perhaps I'll be wrong?

This is why titles mean absolutely nothing in the WWE. Orton can beat up the tag team champions by himself and the United States Champion clearly isn't in Sheamus' league. And then they wonder why they can't make any new stars.

I think people are forgetting one important detail: Sheamus beat on Bryan so badly because he SKIPPED THE FIVE COUNT. If this were an actual match, Bryan would have been saved by Sheamus breaking the count and it wouldn't have looked as bad as it did. Anyone could do that in a match, just wail on the other guy until they get DQ'd, but Sheamus had snapped and didn't care, that's all there is to it. In kayfabe terms, you could buy that Bryan wasn't expecting Sheamus to get himself DQ'd, hence why he got destroyed. Exactly. Bryan grabbed the rope because it was a wrestling match, and Sheamus just dropped about 12 knees in the back of his head. It didn't make Bryan look like a weak competitor, at all. It just made Sheamus look like a bastard. I hope all the beatings they're having Bryan take are going somewhere in terms of developing his personality, which is currently lacking.
