There was another connection to the first Nightmare on Elm Street in NOES 2: Freddy's Revenge: The main characters find Nancy Thompson's diary in a closet. Which is because he's living in Nancy's house. Also, over in Italy, Evil Dead and Evil Dead II were released as La Casa and La Casa 2. Then, some Italian filmmakers made La Casa 3, La Casa 4, and La Casa 5. The premise of people in a house of some kind dealing with demons is the same, but there's a distinct lack of Bruce Campbell or any of the Raimi's (though, to make up for it, La Casa 4 stars David Hasslehoff and Linda Blair). There was also Dawn Of The Dead in Italy, which was just called Zombi. Lucio Fulci then made an indirect sequel called Zombi 2, which was known better here as Zombie, but has also been released on DVD as Zombi 2, which should technically be the name of Day of The Dead and oh no, I've gone cross-eyed.

"Halloween is Grinch Night".
Besides The Grinch and Max the dog being in it, what connection does it have to "How The Grinch Stole Christmas"?
Especially after the ending to the Christmas one. Is "Grinch Night" a prequel?
If the clip was on YouTube, I'd post the Paraphenelia Wagon scenes here.

Add to that that Fulci's Zombi 2 spawned a WAVE of films over in Italy titled "Zombi 3." There's also Zombi 4 and 5 from Italy, plus some American VHS company put out their own Zombie (note the "e") 4, 5, and 6 (these were actually European films that had their own titles, the VHS company just slapped the word Zombie onto those titles).

Masters of Universe 2 aka Cyborg (Cannon scrapped original idea due to budget)
King Boxer 2 starring Bruce Le (nothing to do with Lo Lieh movie.......pretty crappy with fighting midgets etc)
I guess the Bruce Lee imitator films are connected to the real ones (Fist of Fury 2 , Enter the Game of Death etc) cuz they imitate Lee and thus would not count ?

Could we maybe change the thread title to "sequels with very little connection to the original"? I was thinking Halloween 3 Season Of The Witch Appreciation. I was thinking "Make a Joke That Gets Tired Really Fast"

Six damn pages and I'm the first person to mention Ong Bak 2 having absolutely nothing to do with Ong Bak 1.
Also *insert obligatory moronic Halloween 3 joke*.

Leprechaun 2: Back In Tha Hood. It's just god-awful and wrong.
"Ninja please" is actually a catchphrase. Facepalm doesn't begin to cover it.
