No. That was Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child. My mistake, that's why I asked. Which proves the point I'm trying to make. Unless you're a noted trivia geek, who really pays attention to who sings "America The Beautiful" at WrestleMania? Just wanted to clear up the fact publicly that I don't think Dr. Bunsen Honeydew is a trivia geek, unless he is - not that there's anything wrong with that. I have a knack for knowing obscure things as well, just something that strikes ME as odd.

So anyone remember when Johnathan Taylor Thomas was all over Wrestlemania XI?

Could be worse, the stars of 4Kids could be singing it. I never thought this would be posted around here.

JUST GOT DONE SHAKING AND CRYING.
Yeah, sorry, the kid does nothing for me. He's like..twelve, right? Yeah? Okay. Let him appeal to the twelve year olds, then.

So I still don't see who the music superstar is that is going to be singing. All I see is Justin Bieber complaints.
Anyway, yeah, this kid will appeal to nobody that watches WWE and won't bring in any buyrates. I like America the Beautiful, and want to see someone talented sing it.

So anyone remember when Johnathan Taylor Thomas was all over Wrestlemania XI? Yeah, but JTT was entertaining with him besting Bob Backlund in Chess and was on a funny show that a lot of people watched and could recognize. (Good thing someone back then was in on the times or we would've gotten The Fonz or one of the Munsters instead) Beiber isn't entertaining in anyway.

Justin Bieber is not... never has been... and never will be a Michael Jackson. Probably not- Justin doesn't have Michael's vocal chops. Still, it's not that much of a stretch- he does the preteen song and dance act with the same confidence and magnetism young Michael had. (the girls go absolutely wild for him). He's not hopeless- as stated he can dance and has an understanding of music on at least some level (find the youtube videos of Beiber playing guitar). Personally, I don't care if he's a legend or a washout in five years but getting big stars on WM is only a good thing. My very first memories of wrestling were Mr. T. and Cyndi Lauper (and not any actual wrestling), so love it or hate it, it works in getting attention. The deepest lyrics in Justin Beiber's songbook are him singing "baby" over and over again. The cat may be able to play a guitar, but a songwriter, he is not.

Could be worse, the stars of 4Kids could be singing it. Better them than Justin Beaver, I mean Bieber. Seriously in five years this kid will be nothing more than a drugged up crackhead who tries to stay revelant despite the fact no one cares. Kinda like Lindsay Lohan. That's such a terrible thing to wish upon someone. I don't care if your jealous or don't like his music, that's really inappropriate. I don't particularly like him either, but I just hope he gets a normal life after al this is said and done. Really, that was such a nasty and unneeded comment. And the Lohan jab was also uncalled for.

So the guy would come in and sing America the Beautiful. This is a problem...why? He's a popular musician that adults hate and children love. So he's is the pop version of John Cena.

I'm kinda lukewarm on Bieber Fever, but more power to him. This doesn't bother me or anything like that.

Teenage girls run WWE now? Because I'm damn sure boys, WWE's target audience, either don't care about Beiber or hate him like all that other Jonas/Miley/Selena crap. DONT YOU EVER PACKAGE SELENAGODDESS IN WITH THEM OTHER PEOPLE AGAIN. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? DO YOU UNDERSTAND? Oh, and I'd be upset about Beiber singing at Mania but if it's just America the Beautiful then whatever.

Geez, this thread makes me wonder what it would be like if Aaron Carter sang America The Beautiful in a Wrestlemania in the 90s.
ITS ONLY ONE SONG!!! He's not going to have a 30 minute concert like Kid Rock. If he does, then you can worry. Not to mention Pop/R&B groups and artists like Boyz 2 Men, Ashanti, Nicole Scherzinger, etc. all performed the openings in Wrestlemanias. It's only 2 minutes or so.
The Bieber hatred (as well as Cena hatred) amuses me, Either way your giving them attention wether its negative or not. Thats what those 2 want and they are getting the last laugh. I can't watch an Incubus music video or any video for that matter with out a 100 Bieber hate comments (Same thing when watching Wrestling videos on youtube just replace Bieber with Cena). To quote Lady Sovereign, "Love me or hate me, it's still an obsession, Love me or hate me, that is the question. If you love me then thank you. If you hate me then eff you". Thats what those 2 want! Stop hating and start ignoring.
