I recently put up an article about this: www.mymomthinksimfunny.com/?p=202Where I discussed some video games that I thought to be total dicks. I'm curious to hear some of the games that you thought was put on this earth to simply piss you off and piss off your parents for renting the damn thing for you in the first place.

I can say that the RC missions in GTA were designed by someone who hated humanity and wanted to send a "FU" you the world.

Salt Lake City winter games created much rage.
But nothing will ever top tNa iMPACT! Turn it on and do an exhibition against Rhyno. Try to go 5 matches without breaking the controller.

I agree with everything on this list except Out of this World, which is awesome. Ghosts n' Goblins is awesome too, but yeah, it's infuriating.
Frankly, I thought I was the only one who played that Star Trek game. It is indeed f***ing awful.

I think the most recent I've been frustrated at was in Dissidia: Final Fantasy, facing a Level 125 Chaos at the end was Hair Pulling. Ya hit him with everything, & he just shrugs it off & wipes you out. I'm getting the new one this weekend, I don't even want to think about facing Feral Chaos...

There was this game Anatomy where you traveled inside a human body (Anna and Tommy were the characters' names as well as a talking onboard computer). I can't find anything about this game anywhere but it was so impossible to finish not because it was hard but it crashed at random and I only played through the whole game to the ending once.

Donkey Kong Country Returns would be the most recent example. A game so hard it'll eventually take pity on you and offer to beat the level (including boss fights) FOR you.

Resonance of Fate
It's a good game but damn is it challenging. It features a combat system where basically one mistake spells game over which wouldn't be so bad on its own. I love a good challenge.
Nope, what frustrates me is when you enter a mission area you have to go through a series of about 10 battles which increase in difficulty, all of which one mistake can cost game over. Then at the end of that you have a superdifficult boss battle where once again, one mistake=game over. My gripe is that you can't freaking save between battles!
I don't want to spend an hour fighting to the boss only to die, then have to play through the same battles again, get my items again, level up my characters again.
Just let save the freaking game between battles !!!!
There's challenging (which I don't mind) then there's just taking the fun out of it. Nobody wants to replay an hour of the game purely because they made a mistake (Which can be something as simple as accidentally pressing the wrong button or, as happened with me. A glitch where a character got stuck)
I got frustrated with it and quit. Which was a shame because I enjoyed much of the game. It was just so frustrating having to replay an hour or more of gameplay just because you can't save after each fight or, even before the boss battle. I know they wanted to make it challening but really, the battles on their own were challenging enough without been a bitch with the saves!
Plus, the in-game tutorial is the leats helpful thing ever. You basically need to go online to figure out the really complex (but fun) combat system.

I can say that the RC missions in GTA were designed by someone who hated humanity and wanted to send a "FU" you the world. Thank goodness that one in San Andreas wasn't essential to the plot, or else I'd still be stuck in San Fierro.

Freakin' Battletoads, man!
Also, it seems that the God of War series always had that ONE part that made you want to throw your controller.
GoW1: That damned spiked cylinder in Hades. GoW2: Trying to move that statue to the switch to get the ashes of The Phoenix GoW3: THAT. DAMN. LABYRINTH.
