I think Pepsi tastes more bland compared to Coke. Yeah, Pepsi is sweet, but Coke has more flavor to it.

Pepsi has a fruity flavoring, due to the old days when there would be fruit juices in the drink.
That's probably why there's such a distinct taste.

Coke is very bitter and heavy, feels like I'm drinking an alcoholic mix or something.
Diet Coke, however, is just fine. Coke 0 is kinda crisp, but still much less bitter than Regular Coke.
Pepsi Throwback, my favorite.
Diet Pepsi tastes like rotten sugar.
RC Cola and store brands tend to taste more like Pepsi than Coke.

It's not quite tasting it but whenever I drink Coke I can feel my teeth being destroyed. Zis thig.

Coke really tastes "metallic" in some way to me, and no matter how cold and fresh it is it always seems flat.

Coca Cola tastes more syrupy to me, and a stronger cola taste. Pepsi is a little smoother and a little sweeter.
I vastly prefer RC Cola to both though.

Coke tastes better.

For whatever reason, a bottle of Pepsi ends up flat about a half hour after it's opened, while Coke maintains its freshness for almost a day or so. And, Pepsi is much sweeter while Coke pretty much burns the inside of your mouth when first open it. Still, I'd take Coke over Pepsi, unless it's Wild Cherry Pepsi vs. Cherry Coke. Pepsi wins big-time in that regard.

I prefer root beer more than either, but if I had to choose, I like the taste of Coke more when it's really cold (no ice, just some cold Coke before it starts to freeze) but I'd pick Pepsi if it's not that cold.

BOTH taste terrible now , Coke worse than Pepsi. I personally preferred pepsi in the past , but now (at least in the U.S.) both sodas are crap. I prefer to drink ginger ale, seems like the only formula that has not changed too much.

Coke is only good for mixing, imo. If I want a cold cola based beverage, I'll be going for Pepsi.

I can taste it, but I've never processed any real differences in either. I know they're different, but it's all cola to me.
Now, root beer on the other hand, there are clearly superior and inferior types.

They're strikingly different, but I'll drink either one if they're available.
I prefer Pepsi myself.
And to be honest, Sunkist is way better than both of them.

What's with people offering Dr. Pepper as a substitute for root beer? They're not even close.

To me, Coke always tasted like a Pepsi that had been left out for a while. And it always put a mysterious film over my mouth.
I'll take a Pepsi Throwback over everything else.

Coke has a more, how to say it, "smokey" flavor to it while Pepsi is just straight-up sweet with almost no established flavor.
