Looks like Aston Villa will announce a loan for Michael Bradley. Reports are that if Bradley does well, he will be bought at season's end.
Junior is one of the most unfairly scrutinized Americans because his dad is the HC of the national team, but from what I understand Mikey has a great reputation in Europe.
Also a step in the right direction for Mikey to reach his dream (playing for Man U or AC Milan)

Then when I guy like Holden or Edu impove, they want to push Mikey to the curb. Truth be told, we are at our best with Mikey playing.

First huge move of Transfer Deadline Day (not counting Suarez), and one that confirms the second - Andy Carroll from Newcastle to Liverpool for £35m. Confirms that Torres is going to Chelsea tonight.

£35 MILLION for Carroll! I'm sorry but thats such a huge overspend. He's good in the air definitely, but he's spent 6 months in the Premiership, hasn't been consistent, doesn't have the link up play that other big strikers like Dzeko have, his feet are nowhere near as good as his head and is still very young. I'm not saying he won't improve, no doubt he will and a move to a club like Liverpool where he can rotate/understudy as he gets better could do wonders for him, but £35 Million! Thats nearly four and a half Van Der Vaarts and he's not going to have the impact that he's had.

Can anyone else feel the sense of 'Panic Buying' in the air?
Carroll, Adam, Torres?!
If Charlie Adam joins United (1/4 odds), a part of me will die inside.

Turns out Newcastle rejected the £35m bid. Liverpool will probably come back with £40m.

Looks like David Luiz is on his way to Chelsea for around £20. Its wierd seeing Chelsea throwing around the big money. After a couple of years of Man City buying all the expensive players in bulk, this feels almost... nostalgic!

I've just seen Rooney go into Somerset Park.
I miss when BBC Radio Scotland used to do the Deadline Hour show and cause there was no business going they would just make up rumors like.
The Lights are still on at Ibrox they must be on the phone to Ronaldo for his services ;D.
And on that lets hear your ridiculous Rumors.

I'm sad that it looks like Torres is going but if he wants to leave and we can get £50 million for him, then I can live with it. Andy Carroll is a good striker but £35 million? Not in my book. Although, if we get Charlie Adam as well, I'll look at having Carroll, Adam and Suarez as a positive sign from the new owners.

Suarez is a good player he will adapt better outside of Dutch football faster then Huntelaar did and simple reason for that is Suarez works and battles outside of the Box.
Huntelaar is the Dutch version of Kris Boyd.

He is a good buy though, Chelsea have had a major problem in defense, what with Terry's injuries/lack of form and Carvalho leaving for Real Madrid. With Torres coming in as well, Malouda still playing well and Drogba looking like he might be finding his form again, they're starting to look rather indimidating. I still think though that they have the same problem that Man Utd have, a lack of creativity in the centre of the pitch. Lampards been meh all year, Essian and Mikel are industrial rather than magical and Rameries has been a flop, especially when you consider that they already had Essien and Mikel!

Will Torres be allowed to play Champions League this season for Chelsea? I'll bet Liverpool will insist that Torres can't play in the Chelsea/Liverpool game this weekend.

I don't think so, usually the rule is if they've played in Europe they can't play in any competition, but I might be wrong.
I think they're focusing on the league more anyway. They're not far of the runners and none of the top 3 have looked particuarly impressive, especially since neither Man Utd or Arsenal have plugged up the holes in their teams.

I don't think he can he's been registered for another club playing in Europe this season. Though it'll all depend if UEFA count Registering between Europa League and Champions League a complete difference.

Lampard's been injured all season, which is probably the reason he's been so 'meh.' Ramires has certainly not been a flop, he's been one of our best players of the season, after a slow start in taking time to adjust to the English game. Definitely has a bright future ahead.

It looks like there will be over 200 million spent in this transfer window by the end of the night, just 27 million was spent this time last year.
Football has gone mad and surely there has to be a tipping point sooner rather than later?
As for the Andy Carroll thing I can't blame the club for accepting it, I don't even blame Carroll for wanting to leave, especially for an extra £50,000 a week. It's the clubs throwing this kind of money around who will eventually seal their own downfall.
Although I'll be the first to admit we were among the first to start it spending 15 million on Shearer almost 15 years ago.
