I gotta say I've never heard of most of these. "Obscure 1 Hit Wonder" on its face seems like an oxymoron to me.

Oh, I love to demonstrate my familiarity with obscure one hit wonders from the late '80s and early '90s.
Bonham (not the Jason Bonham band as the title suggests)
Electric Boys
Cycle Sluts from Hell (quite the catchy name)
KINGOFTHEHILL (I know, this pushes the boundaries of what constitutes a hit)
Man, that was a fun period for music, wasn't it?
No more than 3/4 videos per post please.

I'm a huge hair metal fan, and I LOVE a good, cheeseball power ballad..............but this one was just too much even for me. In fact, it's nauseating..but it was a hit.

Don't treat me bad - a top 20 hit When I look into your eyes - a top 10 hit I Live my life for you - peaked at #26 despite them being a glam band in the middle of the grunge days

Damn, Dr. T I forgot all about Don't Treat Me Bad. For some reason I thought that was by Kix, and I have absolutely no recollection of the other two you posted.

He only had that song and not long after that, he dropped from the face of the earth. I remember seeing his album being for sale at Target and such. I guess he was signed to a major label but didn't catch on.

If we're still doing hip-hop one hit wonders, then:
This is the original song, and not the remix that everyone attributes to Biggie.
In fact, I think this song is way better than the remix and it's a damn shame that Craig Mack got buried under all the other rappers and acts on Bad Boy at the time because his first record was really good.

Not so obscure for fans of Robot Unicorn Attack, but....FIRST WISH! PRESS Z TO MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!
Here's two from the 70's
....and featuring Annoyed Hitler on keyboards
Going even further back, to the 60's.
Believe it or not, that's Ted Nugent on guitar.

I know Shakespear's Sister had more success in the UK, but this was their only hit stateside.
Like the above, The Church enjoyed greater success in their native country (Australia) than they did in the US.

For brevity's sake (and not to quote posts with a bunch of videos to make the page lag), a couple of things:
1. Biggie was on the "Flava in Ya Ear" remix and he killed it, which is probably why people associate the song with him more than they do with Craig Mack. That beat does remain one of the dopest of all-time.
2. Erasure was not a one-hit wonder. "Always" might have been their only big single in the '90s, but they still had "A Little Respect", "Chains of Love", "Take a Chance on Me", "Ship of Fools" and others that were huge in the '80s.
And now for my contribution. This song came out when I was 4 and I've always remembered hearing it over the years and never knew its name or who it was by and lo and behold, last month, I was in a bar and the radio was on. They were playing the song and the DJ IDed it and now I can die in peace.

I know he went on to future success about a decade later w/ The Gorillaz, but singularly this is about it, great song BTW
