Smackdown pretty much sucks. I'd say for pure wrestling, it's probably the best show on TV right now. Yeah, they have some pretty good matches. But storylines are not good on the blue brand.

Kaval supposedly said he was miserable on a WWE schedule and didn't see his chances improving. Does anyone think that mindset contributed to the way he was booked? If your heart isn't in it, then the chances you getting pushed are going to be slim, especially if you're as small as Kaval.

I feel he must have been giving it his all at the beginning being all bright eyed and naive, or else they wouldn't have even moved him up to the main roster. But after a few months of jobbing I could see him turning bitter. Not sure if him keeping a positive attitude would have given him any kind of push though.

The Miz has managed to come a long ways despite being in a similar uphill position.

The Miz had an undefeated streak at the beginning of his career. Not really similar. What about JBL making his life a living hell in the locker room? And being buried by JBL on commentary every week? Also being made fun of on live television for his screwups during the Diva Search? And checking online the undefeated streak was 5 matches. Miz wasn't handed it, he busted his ass after not getting off to the best of starts.

Are you saying that Kaval didn't work his ass off while working for the WWE?

Are you saying that Kaval didn't work his ass off while working for the WWE? Far from it. I'm just saying that Miz and Kaval did start in similar places (Miz was getting buried on commentary and had that disastrous Diva Search), Miz busted his ass, stuck with the WWE and look where he is now. It can be done to move from a bad spot like that, and become a main eventer. It wouldn't have been impossible for Kaval to become a high card guy. I want to see him back in the WWE. Creative did drop the ball with Kaval, they teased Kaval and Layla getting together, which fans liked, and then they just dropped it. The Kaval LayCool pairing was gold, plus it was something we don't have in the WWE, the bitch heels and a face getting along. Not because on an enemy of my enemy thing, but because they got along. Hell he could have continued his feud with Husky Harris, by moving to Raw to help out with the war on Nexus.

Has anybody heard about the booking fee he's charging now? From what I've heard, it's f***ing astronomical. Makes what Danielson was charging look easy.

And he probably won't wrestle the match unless he's going over. If his booking price is too high and his demands are unreasonable, few quality indies will bring him in.

My guess is that he wants to be paid as much (or more) per match as WWE was giving him. Which is a mistake because there's no indie fed able to pay for that on a regular basis. He'll get plenty of one time gigs though. He passes for a big name, now more than ever so he's a better draw than 99.9% of guys on the scene.

Probably a smart move, IMHO. I really don't think he would have gone anywhere if he had stayed. More than likely he'd have been released in a few months anyway.

We have a local show coming up on New Year's Day that has the American Wolves, Jimmy Jacobs, Jon Moxley, and Colt Cabana on it, just to name a few. And for the price of all of them, it STILL wouldn't come close to the cost of 1 Low-Ki.
