Since there's a thread for Tekken, I figured I'd make one for my favorite fighting game, not to mention Arcade Edition's coming out next Tuesday, I believe...
So, does anyone else here play Street Fighter? I guess this thread is mostly for Super Street Fighter IV, but feel free to discuss the series, that's cool too.
I'm pretty excited for AE, but I'm not excited about the four new characters, mostly because they disturb the balance of what I think is the best fighting game out; I mean, Yun and Yang are taking shit over on the preliminary tier lists. Also, Oni and Evil Ryu are just going to be f***ing everywhere online. No longer does someone have to choose between Akuma or Ryu, they now have Evil Ryu! Other than that, my main, Dan, got a few minor buffs, and my other main (because I don't want to call him a sub) Fei Long goes god-tier, which is pretty cool I guess. I can't think of any significant changes to anyone else I use (Gen, Cody, Adon.)
That's pretty much it for me rambling on, let's talk Street Fighter D:

I may not know much, but I know the following:
1. Guile's theme goes with everything.
2. Guile can beat the brakes off of anybody. He even comes with his own pair of Justice Shades! A Flash Kick + Flash Explosion combo is hard as hell to hit, but man is it sweet when you do. Got 15 wins in a row with the Colonel online, with back-to-back double perfects. My favorite line to send to a defeated foe: "That beatdown goes with everything - Col. William F***ing Guile!" Yeah, I'm kind of a douche when it comes to winning with Guile. ;D
3. Vega is equally awesome. Rarely lose with him. The Bloody High Claw is a work of art and is epic when you catch a sorry-ass Shoto user mid-Shoryuken.
4. Seth is a f***ing cheap asswipe.

It's all about Dhalsim for me. Zoning the opposite player for eternity.
1. Abel never let's his guard down.
2. Bison's Psycho Power knows no limits.
3. Unless he is using electro-magnetism, which incidentally powers the bullet train from Osaka to Tokyo, surely you've heard of it?

I hate fighting Guile because all he does is down-back and it's such a chore to fight him. I see you like charge characters. I was never good with them. Seth isn't cheap though, your execution needs to be on point if you plan on winning with him, because his health is s***. 1.F*** KEN SCRUBS! 2.And sagat is a monster KENS EVERYWHERE ONLINE. Him, Ryu, and Akuma just piss me off. There's 35 characters, play someone else dammit! Sagat's awesome. I don't play as him much, but when I do I usually win. Tiger knee is too much for them to handle. I never fight that many Dhalsims because it takes patience to play as him, you can't just Shoryuken your way to victory.

My favorite alternate is taxman Fei Long, my least favorite is Rose's hideous dress.

Other than that, my main, Dan I've been maining Dan in Alpha 3 recently, even with the World Tour upgrades, and it's still hard. I know he got an upscaling to bring him in line with the rest of the cast for the SFIV series, but still, much respect.

I've been playing as him since Alpha 2, and it's never easy but I always have a lot of fun playing. He's also part of my team in MvC2. In SSFIV he's actually pretty good, IMO. I have...I think 4450 BP with him. Always good to see another Dan player out there. God I hate fighting so man Ryu and Ken's online...... I hate mirror matches :-p But seriously, Ryu has been my main since SF2, leave me be. Nah man, that's cool. In SFII I used Ryu, Sagat, and Ken.

Too many wanna try to play him like a shoto, and that's just not his style.

He thinks he's a shoto, and he'd probably be a better fighter if he played to his strengths.

I tried playing SF IV, and I bought it too. Maybe it's just me cause I didn't enjoy it in the end. I think my mainstay's SF II Champion Edition. I try to use everybody so it doesn't become 5 hours of Guile vs. Blanka haha. I feel I did improve with E. Honda and Sagat though. Sagat doesn't have enough horizontal range on his Tiger Uppercut, but man the damage it gives?!?! Standing Strong, Jab, Jab Tiger Uppercut = the land of Dizzy!

People are gobsmacked when I tell them.

Although I do like using Gen. Old man is hard to use but satisfying to get wins with.

Gen isn't hard at all to me. People want to get tricky and change styles, but I just stick to Mantis and get wins like no one's business. His Mantis-style super combos into both of his ultra 1s; I can do a stance change after the super combo and combo that into the crane ultra but it's more of a "HEY LOOK HOW GOOD I AM" thing instead of a legitimately useful combo, but that's mostly because I suck ass with Crane style.

Seth makes SF3 Final Boss Bison look like an amateur.
On second thought, I have beaten Seth, but not Final Boss Bison, so I guess you can flat out disregard that last statement.
