To be fair, that character only went to diamond form and fanboys assumed it was Emma, I don't think she was billed as Emma, and certainly wasn't called it in the film as far as I can remember. So that could easily be retconned away. {Spoiler}As for the cameo, supposedly, from Jackman - which isn't confirmed, it could just as easily be old Magneto and/or Xavier - that could be nice and easily explain as Wolverine loses his memory so often that he could easily have met these guys before and just forgot them Actually...they did label her, AND market her as Emma Frost. See this commercial for Wolverine for proof. Clearly it was meant to be Emma, but the point was, they didnt do anthing or have her be anything special in the movie. In the movie I dont believe she is named. So it's a simple enough retcon that most ppl wont even notice.

I take it I was the only one that enjoyed Wolverine? I take it that I was the only one that enjoyed X-Men 3? Wolverine was just a bit of a mess, and X3 was far too busy. Beyond that my main gripe was the utter disregard for the Deadpool character in Wolverine and the utter crap that was Dark Phoenix in X3. Just piss poorly executed.

I just watched Wolverine for the first time. Like 10 minutes ago no less. The problems with it are glaring. The special effects are awful, the art and direction are bottom of the barrel. The story and acting are pretty decent though, as is the first third of the movie. The second half it falls apart. With a better director it could have really been something.

I just got back from the midnight showing of this movie and it was fantastic. It deserves all of the praise it's been getting.

FilmDrunk's review of it was pretty hilarious. Meh. I'm still gonna boycott it on the basis of "If the studio doesn't give enough of a f*** about the continuity of it's own franchise to care, then I don't give enough of a f*** to show up, pay money and see it."
I don't care HOW amazing the performances are...if you're just going to blatantly disregard your OWN storytelling then why should I care at ALL about the movie?
*SIGH*

I'll still watch it but I can't help but notice some of the glaring errors I've heard about. {Spoiler}Why is Wolverine having a cameo in this film? I understand that he wouldn't remember meeting Xavier or Magneto, however, wouldn't Charles remember meeting Logan? Same with Magneto? It just boggles my mind that they would either ignore or retcon that detail.

Yeah, it's Banshee. I just went into this movie thinking of it as being part of a different canon and I enjoyed it immensely.

You're right with Mystique though. I guess it does make sense to some degree, simply because she went straight to where Cerebro was. So it's understandable that she may've been part of the original team film timeline wise.
However, as I said, based off of what I read it's really messed up with the continuity and messed up bad. The timeline is all over the place. They really should've just rebooted the franchise and went with the original team of Cyclops, Jean, Angel, Iceman, and pre-mutated Beast.

Yeah, I'm not too strung up on the canon stuff. If the movie is enjoyable, thumbs up from me. Going to see it Sunday.

What's wrong with the Banshee continuity? It'd go hand in hand with having a young daughter (Siryn) by the time X-Men 2 takes place.

So, is the Angel here suppose to be the same Angel from X3, even though they're the opposite genders, or was there 2 different Angels?
