That's the summer movie I've been looking forward to most, so I'm glad it's so well-received.

So everything I've read about, which basically said it's way better than X Men 3 and Wolverine, is true?

I think most of the good press is due to the smokeshow that is Jennifer Lawrence.

I was going to skip this film in theaters and wait for the DVD release, as The Last Stand and Wolverine soured my interest in the films. This, however, is making me curious to see it sooner rather than later. Here's hoping the positive buzz keeps up.

So everything I've read about, which basically said it's way better than X Men 3 and Wolverine, is true? After those two films, almost anything would be a step in the right direction. So I am not too surprised about the positive response.

I was in the same boat, plus I wasn't sure how the cast could fare well in a movie this scale. Glad to know that I seem to be mistaken.

{Spoiler}Why would Hugh Jackman have a cameo? Wolverine would most likely still be in Tokyo if they're following a specific timeline.

Wolverine would most likely still be in Tokyo if they're following a specific timeline. {Spoiler}From what I was told, Xavier and Magneto approach Wolverine in a bar to join the X-Men and he completely blows them off. As to where this takes place, I'm not sure.

{Spoiler}If that's true then that ruins any kind of timeline continuity that was established in the previous films. {Spoiler}Dude, the timeline continuity between the films went flying out the window the second they showed an Emma Frost at least in her 20s in the trailers for this film, which takes place in the 1960s, when Frost's first film appearance was in Wolverine, and she was a teenager in that film, plus Wolverine takes place in the late 70s/early-mid 80s.

Aren't all the early reviews for these type of films fanboys and various low rent review sites? Usually the top dogs don't review the film until a day or 2 before release date.
I seem to remember Thor having a great % early on too.

To be fair, that character only went to diamond form and fanboys assumed it was Emma, I don't think she was billed as Emma, and certainly wasn't called it in the film as far as I can remember. So that could easily be retconned away. {Spoiler}As for the cameo, supposedly, from Jackman - which isn't confirmed, it could just as easily be old Magneto and/or Xavier - that could be nice and easily explain as Wolverine loses his memory so often that he could easily have met these guys before and just forgot them

Spose I should spoiler this. {Spoiler}Indeed, he doesn't get weapon x'd until the 70s, meanwhile in this time 60s he'd be chillin post ww2 pre vietnam. So i'm fine with a cameo. {Spoiler}Going by this timeline, meanwhile japan could happen in the 80s

See this commercial for Wolverine for proof.

We got our first Rotten review... And it's not from Armond. It is worth nothing that same reviewer game Wolverine a positive review two years ago. Not saying it invalidates his opinion, but something to think about.
