Different strokes for different folks.Like it or not, plenty of people find some of the things he says funny as hell. The shock value/"I cant believe he said that" niche he goes for has an audience. He makes those kinds of jokes about everything around him.I'm not defending him for this "tirade",simply saying to take everything Tracy Morgan says with a grain a salt.I wouldn't label him a homophobe.I'm more offended that people find Jim Norton funny, than anything I ever heard come out of Tracy Morgan's mouth, haha.

Gilbert Gottfried @realgilbert - @realtracymorgan You must apologize for your tasteless, insensitive "jokes". Feel free to use any one of my apologies. Just insert ur name.

Even Michael Richards had a more valid excuse, since at least he was being heckled and it was his failed, failed attempt at retaliation. This is just shock-schlock in the best of situations, and he doesn't have the benefit of the doubt from me for it to even be that.

Now we wait for the inevitable hollow apology. I don't think he can think of an apology for this. Not only did he insult Gay people he made a way beyond tasteless joke of killing his own child if he was Gay. There is no excuse for this.

Jokes have punchlines. From these reports, nothing he said had punchlines. Thus, they aren't jokes.

I've got a pretty broad sense of humor and I'm pretty quick to defend a joke if it's obviously supposed to be harmless (and funny) but I can't see how this could be considered a joke at all. It's just blatant stupidity. I've never had a problem with Tracy Morgan before but just... wow.

Okay, so he's just trying to get a reaction by saying things like that. That doesn't make it any better at all.

He may want "agree with me and validate me!"

Koda89,I'd say the first one does it.You think he said those things for his health?I'm soo not a homophobe,I have gay friends and I'm pro-gay marriage..and to be honest I knew this would come up here, because if there's anything I've learned from being on these forums for the past few years,it's that the only thing nobody can joke about is "the gay community?!?!?..",but everything else is okie dokie.Kinda annoying.

No one is insinuating that making gay jokes is the only thing off-limits in cracking jokes. It's just in making jokes, and in humour in general, there are certain lines that one must not cross, so as to not run the risk of sounding offensive.

I'll repeat what I said earlier, what he said did not have punch lines. Thus definition #1 does NOT apply. In fact, anyone who finds what he said to be funny or amusing, well, let's just say I'd hope to have nothing to do with them, and if I did know them, I would cut all ties with them in an instant. What he said were not jokes. You can totally make jokes about gays and the gay community, but make sure they are jokes. What he said were words with malice.

And hell, I've personally called out tons of things that relate to stuff other than being gay. People probably get sick of me
