Gorgeous George? As the WWWF started in 1963, I don't think he wrestled for them.

Thesz and Bockwinkel were both in a legend battle royal in 1987 (which Thesz won). Tommy Rich has done shows in the late 70's for WWF.

Lou Thesz sprung to mind, but someone beat me to it. If we are talking people who I have actually seen in the ring though who didn't work for WWE (to my knowledge) I would say:
Nick Bockwinkel Gino Hernandez David Von Erich Kevin Von Erich AJ Styles (not including try out) Magnum TA Samoa Joe (probably had some form of try out too)

I'd say I'd have to go with Verne Gagne on this one.

Uh... I'd never consider Sting the greatest to never step in a WWE ring... don't know who, but definitely not him. Riiight.

I also don't recall Awesome Kong or Greg Gagne working for Vince. Awesome Kong has signed a contract with the WWE.

Not sure if it counts, but Adams did win the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship in UWA during their partnership with WWF. Don't know if he ever actually wrestled in the actual WWF though.

Not sure if it counts, but Adams did win the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship in UWA during their partnership with WWF. Don't know if he ever actually wrestled in the actual WWF though. If that counts then Jushin Liger is also disqualified for consideration (the Light Heavyweight title was part of the J-Crown title).
