I'm honestly just sick of the whole thing. There's about a hundred different things I'd rather see in the in the 'E right now than Cena and Rock yammering back and forth with no real payoff in sight. No payoff in sight? I'm fairly certain that there's this big PPV event coming up...

Yeah, it was strange seeing a promo last that long in front of an empty ring. I guess The Rock takes the old phrase "mailing it in" literally.

Thought the promo itself was a firm step down from the quality of the previous two, but the fact they put Rock again on the show to say it very much confirms they must be planning a match between these two. It'd be a complete waste of time and money otherwise (both current and future!)
Backlash perhaps?. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Cena-Rock issues cost Cena the match against the Miz, leading to a Backlash bout.

Come on now, AT MOST we are going to get a Rock Bottom or a People's Elbow. Probably onto Miz, right before Cena finishes him off with the AA. Maybe they surprise us and it's on Cena, and Rock leaves as a heel. Either way, it is in NO WAY going to be Cena VERSUS Rock. The Miz is the Champion, his match with Cena is set IN STONE.

I can't see there been a match between the two.
I hope there is since it'll be fun but sadly I can;'t see it happening which means all this build-up will more than likely be just leading to a Rock Bottom/Peoples Elbow after the Miz vs Cena match or at most, a brawl between the two after the Miz match

I was REALLY waiting for the Rock to go full-on anti-kayfabe towards the end of his promo. Right when he said that he'd accomplished everything that he wanted, I thought he was gonna continue on like so:
So I did it all. I won championships, had great matches, worked with the all-time best in the business, and then, when I'd accomplished all there was to accomplish, given the fans everything I had, I did what so few others ever do. I stepped away. I stepped away to give the younger guys a chance to shine. I didn't hold onto that top spot. And I could have. Believe me...I could have. I could have been the NUMBER ONE GUY for all of these last seven years. But, I didn't. I accomplished everything there was to do. Intercontinental title matches with Ken Shamrock. Tag Team gold with Mick Foley. World Championship matches with Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, HHH, the Undertaker, and Stone Cold Steve Austin! And even two matches with both Hollywood and Hulk Hogan! I gave the fans EVERYTHING they wanted to see, and then, with my health, finances, and reputation intact, I walked away to do other things. Not BETTER things. But OTHER things. I love this business. I grew up in this business. And I want this business to continue to grow and prosper and succeed long after I was out of it. And that would not have happened, guys like Sheamus, Jack Swagger, Batista, and you, John Cena, would NEVER have had the opportunity to be on the top of the world if THE ROCK, had hung onto his spot with a death-grip. And after all that. After all I did for this business, for this company, and for everybody in the back, you have the unmitigated gall to insult the Rock and his family? NOBODY (and the Rock means NOBODY) has benefited more from the Rock's decision to leave than YOU, John Cena. You are THE guy now, John. You are the FACE of the business. And you are doing a GREAT job of it. You do more for the WWE, the business, and its fans than even the Rock could ever do. You say you love the business, John, and the Rock knows that you do. But when you call out and insult me, for doing what was BEST for the business, well, John Cena, you deserve what the Rock is going to give you.

Vena is the put over guy and now he is putting over the Miztake and Rock simultaneously. I would not be surprised if Rock hasn't already taped his next few segments. Very Ted Turner WCW era-like. Rock doesn't need to be anywhere live. Does anyone beleive that was really his dsplay case? A shoddy-looking steel door and a crappy glass shelving unit. I expected Cena to break in and wreck it. So cheap.

I disagree. Them yammering back and forth is 100x more entertaining than anything else going on now.

I like the Rock vs. Cena interaction but the Rock is slowly becoming the villain against Cena. The main villain should be the Miz though. I don't like Rock and Cena becoming bigger then the world title match. Also I found that Rock Promo really boring because it was satellite and because the cuts to the crowd had most of the people sitting on their hands.

Is there a possibility that whatever Rock says, he's going to be cheered regardless? Just seems easier to boo Cena that The Rock, because well, it's The Rock! But is it what WWE want. The fans turning on Cena at a WM main event?

That actually was his house and his display case. It's shown up before in material confirmed to have been filmed at the Rock's place.

Yeah, I think they showed it on Confidential or around Hollywood Rock time

Randy Orton and John Cena vs CM Punk and The Miz (Miz wrestled in his suitpants). Special Guest Referee Micheal Cole. Really really dull match. Cole was naturally high fiving Miz and not counting pins for the faces. Eventually Orton gave Cole a stare and Cole ran away, Orton RKO'ed both Miz and Punk, pinned Punk. Also for whatever reason Miz hightailed it without his belt so Orton posed with it a lot before he left. Cool thanks for sharing. Hope you had a nice time at the event. (This thread may now return to its regularly scheduled posting) Dammit all...if they're serious about pushing Orton as this anti authority badass "Austin 2.0" character, he BADLY needed to at least try for an RKO on Cole there. Orton/Cole (IF Cole is indeed somehow behind the GM shenanigans), could be the next version of Austin/McMahon.

I also dont get how the rock gets so much heat for moving on from the business, instead of taking a role like triple h who comes back and talk downs (i wont say bury) the whole locker room saying no one worthy of his attention?? I have a hard time believing anyone in WWE would've walked away from Rock's opportunities. Cena has no room to talk, his movies were blips at the box-office, no major studio wants him. Rock is a millionaire movie-star. That beats living out of a suitcase and letting the business eat you up.

I thought it was a really good promo personally, because it wasn't all catchphrases. I like that he addressed the fact that his family are all part of the wrestling business, and that it has always been in his blood.
Obviously they fact they did it from his home does give credence to Cena's point a bit, and I couldn't believe when he said "The Rock has come back to Buffalo!", but I still admired the promo a lot personally.
Whears Cena did horrible comedy in his segment again. He really needs to up the intensity in the next few weeks, instead of talking about Miz "peeing in milk jugs". That's so friggin' lame.

For the first time I can remember I didn't like a promo from The Rock. It just sounded like he tried too hard, plus he did prove Cena right. Cena talked about actually being there for his fans, and he was. The Rock was apparently too busy to show up in Buffalo for all his people.
