Lol at the idea that Rock, Austin, or Hogan are high bars for movie success. Now Andre the Giant, on the other hand... I'd argue that the Princes Bride is the best film ever made with a wrestler in the main cast.

Godfather had a pro wrestler in the actor that played Luca Brasi, but to be honest I haven't seen it in so many years I don't remember how big of a part that was. Predator and Ed Wood are close up there as well. Princess Bride truly is a classic though, as is Andre the Giant's performance. "Anybody want a peanut?"

Well the movie looked terrible, and the plot was rather generic. It's plot was in essence the same as a million other movies I've seen over the years.

it's funny how everybody said that this movie bombed ignoring that the intention of the WWE never was to make a considerable profit on theaters

Modern Family is a very popular show. I'm surprised one of the daughters didn't bring in a few fans

All WWE PG movies will fail Should they release an R rated one? Would that be better? These movies suck because they suck. Not because of the age rating.

Big Momma 3 still draws the fans of the first two movies. WWE really should understand that the only genre of the movie industry where zero investment still lands big profit is porn. dude, you still buy porn?

Actually, mainstream wise not counting poron (which I can't see WWE doing), horror & children movies tend to draw the most on average. Because horror usually costs the least to produce, the genre is the safest bet.

By the way, this was the movie because of which we lost Batista? Why would anyone throw a fit of not being in this movie? And to think he's now in Thailand shooting a movie with Russell Crowe

Does this shock anyone?
Let's just hope Triple H is nominated for some razzies.

Batista didn't want this project. He wanted an upcoming action flick that HHH is starring in.

My dad has commented several times that despite the role, he was never seen again.

Well....look at it this way.... some people have been saying for years that HHH couldn't draw a dime. This is just vindication Yet he's one of the top ten grossing WWE wrestlers of all time

He usually got bit parts as a character actor in other movies as hired muscle, if my minute-long research is true. He was in The Jerk

HHH's movie drew less than a TNA house show. ;D

Wrestlers should be doing TV shows, not movies. These are movies that are so obviously devoid of quality that the star being a box-office draw is necessary, and pro wrestlers are not that. Have a bunch of them show up in a sitcom or something if them appearing in something is needed, because movies = not a good idea. Ever. He may not have much charisma or any box office appeal, but at least HHH was funny on MadTV. On a sidenote, did more people buy Heidi Montag's album "Superficial" or have purchased a ticket to watch "The Chaperone"? I am just wondering.

I'm split on what I'd call the best movie with a wrestler in a significant role. Rundown's tempting, but it's not exactly a classic even though I do like it - Princess Bride'd be most people's pick, but I personally didn't like it.
