I read an interview or something like that where Jonny Fairplay was asked about The Miz, (apparently they are good friends) and why Miz hasn't put in a word for him in WWE. Fairplay said he would never go to WWE because he wouldn't be able to deal with "The 'Fratboy attitude' of the boys in the locker room"

With sports it is still very similar. For the WWE, the "winning" goal is being a successful company that people will watch and give money to. If you let DBD go out there and do what he does best, I'm sure viewers will be interested and want to cheer for his character. If they cheer and want to see his character more and more, they will buy his merch. Marketing a sport is different from playing it. It's the difference between having a product and selling it, and any number of businessmen will tell you there's a big gap between having a product on hand and getting people to buy it. Did anyone think Rocky Maivia would be marketable? Of course not. But then they let him do what he does best and became a huge star which in turn was a success for the company. Making money, and getting fans = winning for the WWE. You say a it's a show, which it is. Well what is the goal of a television show? Gaining a lot of viewers, getting new fans, keeping old fans and making money off of the show. How do you do that? You create interesting stories with characters people like, or begin to like, or have an interest in. Fans have shown interest in DBD but the WWE obviously hasn't listened. So now...pin drops when he comes out at this point. Yes, yes they did think Rocky Maivia was marketable. Hence they used him. They were wrong in marketing him the way they did, but they obviously thought they could make money off of him. If they didn't, then Dwayne Johnson would probably be a car dealer or real estate developer in Miami. In his case, the fans guided his next character. And again, I'm not saying that Bryan has been used the best way he possibly could be, but he's still being used better than much of the roster of WWE's performers (such as those who truly don't get any tv team outside from squash matches). As for your second point, if any of us could predict how to get ratings, then we'd be wasting our time here. We should be dominating the business. My argument is that being on TV every week does not help get you over or put you in good standing. Besides that...he is NOT on tv every week, and many weeks he is on tv, it's a pointless tag match or a stupid segment. I didn't say he was on TV every week, so I don't know why you seem to think that saying he isn't counters anything. I said he wasn't on as rarely as you had claimed he was. I don't like how he is booked but have not blown anything out of proportion. He is just a body to fill a spot anyone could fill. Simple as that. Is he a jobber who never appears on TV except in squash matches? No. So yeah, hate to say it, but you have blown it out of proportion. You can say you're claiming something different, but I responded to that particular point because it was blown out of proportion.

Take all the other reasons, excuses, ect. Throw all those out because it basically comes down to this. Either you're cut out for the WWE life or you're not. Simple as that.

How many guys did Hall really hold down though? Of all the Kliq members he seemed to be the one willing to drop belts, etc the most. Not to mention he turned down World Title runs because he didn't want the extra responsibilities. I think Hall ran w/ em to have fun and party more then to protect his spot. He's still a horrible example though. The guy didn't care about the business at all. Look at the man now. A shell of his former self. Plus its very easy to say you are doing it for the money when you had the opportunity to display your talents and get over. If Scott Hall were a jobber his whole career, I think he would be singing a different tune. Besides that, he did it for money. Well in order to make the most money you have to be pretty high up on the card, which he was. Would he be saying the same things if he was a jobber, making the minimum? I think you are a bit misguided on Scott Hall. Hearing what people officially say on the Record (Hogan on, ironically, a show named Off the Record), Hall didn't care much about winning titles. That's not to say he didn't care about the money. He was in it for the money, not for the fame. He just wanted to be high enough to make a lot of it, but not so much he would want a title reign. It's odd, really, though. He NEVER got a world title. Never. Not in the WWF. Not in WCW. He had the connections. He had the skills. He had the looks (at the time). He just never wanted it. Hogan alluded to as much in his interview on Off the Record. The only thing I can of is his title match against Sting. I knew it was going to be a good (if not great) match, but I also was pretty sure Sting was going to win (even back then).

I'll just bring this up, remember Krissy Vaine? (didn't think so, but she was the one who randomly attacked Torrie Wilson and then never appeared again) She and her boyfriend both quit the WWE just after she was called up because neither of them could deal with the constant travel.
Although, her boyfriend would later return to WWE and appear on NXT as a certain rat like wrestler.

I refuse to except the stuff about Vince and Stef being nutjobs, and the bookers being bad. The Indy's are full of nutjob promoters, and the booking (over all) is HORRIBLE!

Growing up i thought it was the greatest job in the world, but now, no I wouldn't like the bullshit that is currently going on ESPECIALLY how they don't even call it wrestling anymore. I'd rather wrestle in Japan or something.

But just as you shake, I pull you into me and give you a short arm clothesline. I then take off my mask revealing that I am your long lost twin brother who wants revenge on you for sharing a different viewpoint as me. The entire nWo reunites in the ring and we give you a beat down, followed by a celebration.

Seriously, you may end up a jobber, but at least WWE won't have bounced checks. In this day and age, most young indy guys grew up with WWF and WCW. I can't see how if it's your passion, to NOT want to go to Wrestlemania *looks up, points at sign* That's like growing up playing baseball, and saying "I hope I only play in AA or AAA ball, screw the MLB"

No way, I'm going to be a starter in the Developmental League!
