Pretty much the Spirit Squad still, but Mitch especially when he basically admitted to the world that he sucked.
Granted he was definitely the weakest link, but there was no reason for the guy to outright say it.

I've been hearing the term 'burial' being thrown around like nobody's business lately, usually in response to something that doesn't even remotely fit the classical definition of a burial. With that being said, these recent 'burials' have got nothing on what's in my opinion the most blatant, shameless burial of all time, the Spirit Squad. Good Lord, the Spirit Squad. It's not even just them jobbing out to an ancient Roddy Piper and Ric Flair, it's not being booked to look like utter wusses that can't even win a 5-on-2 handicapped matches, it's not just being literally crapped all over. You're destroying the career of everyone in the group not named Dolph Ziggler by literally putting them in a box stamped with a joke 90% of the audience isn't going to get, but how do you make it even more obvious that this, my friends, is a burial? It's Trips' final line to the UPS OPS driver, when asked if he wants to insure the airhole-less box. "Nah, this isn't worth a crap." Well, there you have it. It buried the characters (though to what extent they were to be taken seriously anyway IDK), but it didn't destroy their careers.

you're probably just joking but if you arn't how?[/quote He and London shirked backstage etiquette all the time. London was a little more outrageous, but both of them screwed themselves. Paul London just may be the Charlie Sheen of wrestling.

DDP's WWE run. The guy took a buyout and left a considerable amount of money on the table in the process only to be programmed into a feud where he jobs to Sara Undertaker.

{Spoiler} fun fact drinking is worse for you then weed as long as he's not wrestling whilst high there should be no reason for him to be fired. Especially since there's no way in hell he was the only one. Don't even bring up other substances. We all know what wrestlers have to do to "break even". If weed kept him off somas good for him. I'm pretty sure he has a medical marijuana card now, too. It's not like he was just smoking just to smoke. He may not have ever gotten a tribute video about how banged up his body was from wrestling but he is/was.

Orlando Jordan went from being the US champion in a dominate stable to repeatedly losing to Benoit in under a minute. Benoit then made videos of what he could do in that time (eg making a cup of coffee) and Jordan was laughed at by Booker T and Sharmell when he offered them his help. Poor Orlando then spent most of his time on velocity until he was wished well in his future endeavours. TBH though, Jordan hardly ever defended the US Champion, and the stable was essentially a "CM Punk stable" aka, the leader getting being the entire focus.

Bingo, the arguments over what should and shouldn't be legal are not relevant to the discussion. They also aren't really appropriate here anyway. The WWE is actually pretty lenient towards pot anyway. I believe its a $1000 fine each time you test positive for it...which is four times a year at most (I think) if you tested positive every single time. The issue with Kendrick, as I understand it, is he never even attempted to hide the fact that he was a pothead. Almost to the point of flaunting it. They told him to cool it. He didn't. Therefore he got fired. Most of these guys would be smart to smoke as much as they want in order to avoid painkiller addiction, keep it on the down low, and just budget a $4000 decrease in their annual salary each year.

What about the time Vince McMahon jokingly saying that EVEN Steven Richards had a chance to win the title with some stipulation.

Without getting into the the semantics of the drug use, what Brian Kendrick did was still unprofessional. It doesn't matter who does it, because at the end of the day its still unprofessional and illegal.
Same with RVD. He shouldn't have been surprised that he was going to be buried following what happened. When you're the champion, you have to represent the company and also set an example to the lockeroom. It isn't just a prop.
Any legitimate burials? The first thing that comes to mind is Test vs Lashley. I remember the week before the Royal Rumble, Test was said to caught for using steroids, so he ended up losing to Bobby Lashley clean on TV before the actual match.

"The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior". What sucks is that they've now gone back on that quite a bit by having him in the opening bit AND in the WWE All Stars game. So if someone (kids or otherwise) play the game and decide to check out the guy's work, THAT disc is all that's "officially" out there concerning his legacy.
