Chavo jobbing cleanly to Hornswoggle. Every week for what felt like forever. Didn't Noble (as impossible as this sounds) fail worse than Chavo in the losing to Hornswaggle deal? He did freakin' Wile E. Coyote stunts to catch the little fella and fell for them himself.

Any angle involving the Straight Edge Society, Nexus, and the new Nexus was a blatant burial in my opinion.

can someone give me the matches of when london and kendrick got buried on the run out save for hunter?? i need to see this From the 9/17/07 RAW... HANDICAP MATCH: Triple H defeated Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch.. After the match: Carlito, Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch triple teamed Triple H inside the ring.. Paul London & Brian Kendrick ran down to make the save but Triple H beat them up (makes no sense)..

Imo, if the guy is till on TV/employed three months after "the burial," it's not a burial. It's, perhaps a de-push, but they're not the same thing.
Self destruction of the Ultimate Warrior: Burial. The treatment of Austin after he walked out: Burial. The Nacho Man/Huckster stuff: Burial.

Also I'm surprised the Triple H buried alive gif hasn't shown up yet

Booker T/HHH at Wrestlemania 2003. Considering the fact that Booker's real life criminal past was brought up and HHH was channeling the ghost of George Wallace, there was no need for Booker NOT to go over.

In before "He was contemplating retirement!" defense. ;D Even so, they COULD have given him the belt as a "goodbye" run.

Also I'm surprised the Triple H buried alive gif hasn't shown up yet Honestly, I totally forgot Carlito; and now that I remember, I realize just how bad they were using him as a heel, as well as a face. It's getting harder to blame some of these people for leaving, you know? Noble tried this box thing, like the old "put a carrot under a box to catch a rabbit" thing, except he used Lucky Charms (dead serious). Swaggle takes the 'Charms, replaces it with the Cruiserweight title, Noble tries to get the belt, he triggers the trap, and voila; Noble just fell for a trap he set. What? I said a trap he set his damn self.

When London & Kendrick encountered Triple H Thats the next wwe studios romantic comedy. This is after the staggering success of when "big daddy v got his groove back" and " 'you got hep c':the lita story". I never say burial towards anything really. I hate the word and I dont think im qualified enough to say whether someones burried or not but i'll be damned of sheamus-triple h wasnt blatant. It was like sheamus was a 6'6 ragdoll.

DDP
For a star like him to be used in such a stupid demeaning storyline (particularly made worse when one considers that he was lusting after Undertaker's ugly wife when the entire wrestling world knew his own wife was smoking hot) was a joke.

I've been hearing the term 'burial' being thrown around like nobody's business lately, usually in response to something that doesn't even remotely fit the classical definition of a burial. With that being said, these recent 'burials' have got nothing on what's in my opinion the most blatant, shameless burial of all time, the Spirit Squad. Good Lord, the Spirit Squad. It's not even just them jobbing out to an ancient Roddy Piper and Ric Flair, it's not being booked to look like utter wusses that can't even win a 5-on-2 handicapped matches, it's not just being literally crapped all over. You're destroying the career of everyone in the group not named Dolph Ziggler by literally putting them in a box stamped with a joke 90% of the audience isn't going to get, but how do you make it even more obvious that this, my friends, is a burial? It's Trips' final line to the UPS OPS driver, when asked if he wants to insure the airhole-less box. "Nah, this isn't worth a crap." Well, there you have it. It buried the characters (though to what extent they were to be taken seriously anyway IDK), but it didn't destroy their careers. How many Spirit squad members are still employed by the WWE? Doane and Jeter were supposed to have been can't miss prospects, this angle and their departure back to OVW did nothing for their careers. The fact Nicky is still employed is a testament to his attitude and talent. Can't help but feel if they were all second generation workers they would've been given a fairer shot.

For that matter, we could say the entire WCW roster. Not only were they booked to look completely irrelevant during the invasion storyline, but by the time it was over, there was barely anybody even left on the WCW/ECW side of things, as they had all been replaced by WWF guys.

I thought Ricky Steamboat was buried. After going through a classic at Wrestlemania, to lose to Honky Tonk in rubbish fluke was a massive come down. It seemed WWE buried him a second time when he returned in 1991.
