Kozlov. He went from a monster that was a threat to Taker, to Regal's lackey, To Santino's straight man, to being taken out of Wrestlemania at AXXESS.

Remember that comment Triple H made to Chris Masters about his weight loss? what did trips say? Masters said he was hoping to write a book, and HHH said "About what, how to lose 15 pounds in two weeks?". It was something like that. It was after Masters came back from rehab and he was considerably smaller than he was beforehand.

I thought Ricky Steamboat was buried. After going through a classic at Wrestlemania, to lose to Honky Tonk in rubbish fluke was a massive come down. It seemed WWE buried him a second time when he returned in 1991. There was a reason for the '87 job - Steamboat was hoping to take time off for his son's birth, but Vince wasn't apparently big on progressive policies in the workplace. Steamboat was brought back for WM IV, but apparently as a spotholder in the tournament only. He lost in the opening round to Greg Valentine, then went to WCW briefly before being repackaged in WWE and jobbed out again. I seem to recall something about Orlando Jordan and a stopwatch....must've been my imagination.

whoever mentioned MVP's losing streak needs to be set straight. that shit got him over as a face. the complete opposite of a burial.
the funny thing about Triple H burying people is I'm pretty sure there was a magazine cover where Umaga was up to his neck in sand and Trips was standing next to him with a shovel. it doesn't get any simpler than that.

whoever mentioned MVP's losing streak needs to be set straight. that s*** got him over as a face. the complete opposite of a burial. Yes, it got him so over as a face that he was relegated to jobber status and eventually released. People hate these "losing streak" angles that Vince seems to love more and more with each passing week, even though not a single one of them has ever gotten anyone over, and the few who manage to do something after the "losing streak" angles end get over in spite of the angle, not because of it.

He left on his own, almost 2 years later.
Come on now, at least try.

MVP got pretty over as a face after the losing streak. Problem was he found himself on Raw. So he'd get thrown a feud once in a while, made it work, then they'd forget about it. Pretty much what R-Truth is doing right now.

There are easier and better ways of turning a guy than a losing-streak, especially a very long one. MVP never had momentum again, as soon as the streak was over he was gone to languish on RAW. The streak angle definitely hurt MVP. The streak might have payed-off but they weren't really committed to bringing him back from it otherwise he'd have stayed on SD and got his momentum back. They put a ton of work into the losing-streak then halfassed his return. Buried is a sketchy word but MVP definitely got a bad deal when it came to that streak.
