There's really nothing they could do to get me to stop watching overnight. It'd have to be a gradual thing.
I used to watch religiously. Then I went off to college and only caught it every few weeks or so. Then, when I left the US, it just wasn't really a priority (and wasn't shown live on TV). But shortly before Mania 26, some of my students got me hooked again. Cyclical!

Lets see I have had some periods where i stopped watching WWE
Mid 2001 - Early 2002 - Stopped watching when the Invasion angle started and came back when the NWO arrived...
Mid 2002 - Mid 2004 - I dunno why i stopped but i came back cause i heard Benoit was champion
December 2004 - September 2007 - Orton losing the title really pissed me off and WWE got really stale quick, came back because Christian was the champ in TNA so i got back into wrestling as a whole
June 2010 - October 2010 - Just stopped watching during the Nexus angle and came back randomly in October...

I threatened to stop if Triple H beat Taker at Mania.
Whenever Hornswoggle is on TV, it makes me want to switch it off, but that's it really. I'm sticking through Cole-mania.

I couldn't threaten to because I stopped watching for a while out of boredom (2007-2008) which was before I signed up here and after being a regular viewer for 5 years. I wouldn't have broadcasted a threat to do so if I was going to stop, and I would probably still be interested in rumors and stuff.

Stopped watching when Jericho got fired after losing to Cena and didn't start again until the save us things came on. Then I stopped again just because I was bored of it. I said I'd stop watchimg if Jericho left and I did for a while. Threatened to stop watching after this wrestlemania but I'm still watching (more like following though really)

I threatened to stop watching back in summer 04 when Orton beat Benoit at summerslam... clean. I don't think I actually did, though.
I gave up on TNA after Bound for Glory 2010, but my "departure" from them probably started when Hogan showed up.

stopped watching twice:
around Summerslam 93 til Survivor Series 94 around Invasion 2001 (June/July or so) til Survivor Series 2002 (again!? hmmmm)
didn't care at all, AND I didn't feel like I needed an update or anything about what's goin' on...just needed a break...the product after WM 2001 was going downhill FAST, the beginning of the invasion started to show what it will be about (WCW guys getting humiliated, did expect that though), I was so disappointed that I just turned off completely

Not all of WWE, but I've given up on Raw twice over the last 10 years, during Triple H's reign of terror which made me stop watching for three quaters of the year, even as a mid-teen I hated stupid overprotection of wrestlers.
Secondly, during the DX revival Small Peoples Court thing. I remember staying up to watch Raw with two mates and seeing all of that show...I felt gutted at the wasted time and how I wasn't enjoying watching wresling for those 2 hours. That Raw is the worst WWE show I've ever watched, put me off the show for 8 months or so. It was worse as Shawn is a wrestling King, and even though I tire of Triple H he can do much better, it was just disgusting in quality.
Raw is rarely as bad as people constantly say it is on the internet, but above are two of the few times I legitmately think have gone completely wrong with the booking of a show.

I stopped watching when Hogan's latest run ended and didn't start watching again until the rise of what many refer to as the "PG era."

The only time I've ever been tempted to stop watching was a few months ago, when there was about 3 lacklustre RAW's in a row. I finished watching the third week and I just thought to myself, I've wasted 2 hours of my life watching something that didn't entertain me once. Then I watched the next week and enjoyed it.
Nothing has ever offended or annoyed me to the extent that I would stop watching.

I stopped watching at some point in late 1989, but never threatened to do so. There just wasn't anything going on in the WWF after Survivor Series and the Hogan/Warrior angle for WM had yet to start. Further, in the NWA they blew off Flair/Funk on TV and I just sorta stopped watching for no real reason. I started watching again in Feb. 1992, the SNME with Flair/Taker vs. Hogan/Sid.
The only time I really threatened to stop watching was after WM in 2000. WCW was appalling at that point and I had a hard time stomaching HHH retaining at WM (which was a lousy PPV). My threats didn't last long however since the Judgment Day PPV was in Louisville and I immediately got tickets for it, haha.

I never really threaten it or make a point of it, it just kind of happens.

I stopped watching it between 1992 and 1997, and then between 2001 to 2010
Only now a casual viewer.

Back when Goldust was a jobber I said I'd quit if they released him.
Now at this point, I'm not saying I'd quit but I've said numerous times that if they get rid of Trent Barreta and Hawkins, I won't have much of a reason at all to watch anymore. But the product HAS gotten better since I've been saying that, so maybe not anymore.

Never. I watch WWE for the entertainment, not the sport. If there's one thing that I don't find entertaining, I don't flip my shit and vow to never watch WWE again because I know there's going to be at least one thing I enjoy on the show.
I'll never understand why people get so worked up over minuscule things like Cole or Hornswoggle or whatever.

I've never done it. I like watching wrestling and while WWE has done some very silly things over the years, it's never been enough to make me give up on watching the show. There's usually nothing better on imo anyway.

I started watching in 1992, but quit watching around the year 2000, for no reason other than I started college and didn't have time to watch anymore. I do remember tuning in to see the last Nitro in 2001, and when Shane McMahon came out and I could see it was all leading to another McMahon angle, I didn't watch even one episode again until 4 years later during the lead up to Wrestlemania 21.
It may sound weird, the only reason I got back into it then, was that I was in a Wal-Mart and I browsed over the WWE action figures and realized I didn't know who any of those guys were, and I wanted to know what was going on in wrestling.
