stop watching the WWE over the course of your life?
I've never actually done it. The product has never made me upset or anything. I have gone long periods of not watching but just because it was boring.
So how many time have you made this threat?
Go ahead...be honest.

Just once, when the PPV kept going after Own died. I gave em one day to convince me to keep watching... and Raw is Owen was so heartfelt and touching, I forgave em. I did use to have a clause though where I said if Doink ever become WWF champion,I was done.

I never really threatened to stop watching. It kinda just happened. I only made a comeback recently. Anything that happened in 2008 or 2009, I don't really remember much.

I've actually stopped watching twice. Once for a period in 1996, and then again from mid-2007 to early 2010 (technically I did watch during Mania season, but not regularly.) In neither case did I "threaten" to stop watching, I just did it.

I'm not a regular watcher nowadays due to the schedule I keep, but back when I did watch weekly, I was done for awhile when Mae Young gave birth to the hand. I'd already been to the point of taping and fast-forwarding through most of Raw, but that got me to just forget about setting the VCR any more.

No matter how good Smackdown was in 2003, and it was good, I stopped watching wrestling altogether cause of the Triple H show. Goldberg pissed me off too and he was Triple H's main feud, so I had no reason to watch. I dont think I saw an episode of Raw or Smackdown or a pay per view for about 9 months. I stopped after Backlash 2003 and didn't start watching again until the Raw before Royal Rumble 2004.
I almost did it again after Benoit killed himself and his family but I watched Summerslam 2007 and stuck it out.

2 Times... In mid 2007, I HATED WWE! I really wanted to stop watching... but I just kept holding on. I remember every week thinking about watching something else (which I had never done before) but I just couldn't. When Christian returned... and they put him on ECW, that pissed me off beyond belief. I actually stopped watching for a week. But I guess I couldn't stop

I've never really out-and-out threatened to stop watching all together. Like most people, I've just took breaks if wrestling's not doing it for me anymore. I'm really enjoying the product at the moment, so hopefully I'll be watching for a while yet unless they do something that really grinds my gears.
However, if it counts, I've completely given up on TNA at this point.

Never threatend to stop watching WWE but i used to do it all the time when WCW was on its last leg's i'd watch Nitro on Friday and just hate the entire show and always saying "ok thats it i'm not watching this anymore its garbage" but sure enough i'd watch Thunder the next night and say the exact same thing.

Stopped watching from May 2002-2006. I'd watch occasionally, but not follow it. The name change threw me off as odd as it sounds.
I also stopped watching post-Benoit, though it was only later I found out he killed himself and his family. When I came back in 2010 I didn't notice the difference between TV14 and TVPG initially.

I made one threat, I don't even remember what it was about. A little voice inside me makes me think it was in a fit of Cena hate, maybe it was Orton/Cena at Summerslam 2007?
OH! No, I remember. It was in 2008, when Hornswoggle was entered in the Rumble. I said that if Hornswoggle won the Rumble I'd stop watching.
I did actually stop watching between 2002 and 2006, but that was mostly because Channel 4 dicked me about and I didn't have the means to watch it any more.

I stopped watching September 2008 when CM Punk was World Champion. The main thing that got me to stop watching it was Monday Night Football. The fact that there was a good football game on during the episode when I think CM Punk fought JBL in a steel cage did not help matters. I came back to it in March 2009 because of the storyline between HHH and Randy Orton.
The other time I stopped watching it was last summer. The crap was just boring. WWE's only saving grace was the Nexus storyline which got old fast. Now, I'm back watching it thanks to The Rock making his return.

I stop watching from September 2004 to June 2005 when I had a girlfriend. It was my first love and I was too g'd embarrassed to admit I watched wrestling. It eventually ended because of communication problems, so I'll just be honest about it next time I'm in a relationship. She watched her cheesy Lifetime movies, I should have made a claim for my wrestling.

2002.
And outside of watching YouTube clips after something big happens and and recent Tough Enough episodes, I have stayed true to those words. Haven't watched a full WWE program since 2002.
I have watched TNA since Hogan came on board, but even that is hit or miss with me (I watch Jersey Shore over TNA when both are on).
If it wasn't for this forum I would be completely out of the loop, tbh.

Once. When Danielson got released.
The only other time I even considered it was after WM 27's mediocrity and all the talk of dropping the word "wrestling". But RAW has been very good since WM 27 so I'm still here.
