Eh, even if you're not an "internet fan" you still would have thought that was a great PPV and you're wanting to see what happens on Raw tonight.

Can I just say I don't know anyone who doesn't go on the internet regularly. So pretty much everyone is an "internet fan".

The IWC is a made up, phony idea, with no actual definition Most people are on the Internet now in some form or another, especially with computers being cheap and smartphones. If you think the average wrestling fan isn't checking out wrestling sites after whatever the f*** they normally do, you're insane. I don't even particularly like anyone on the roster at the moment, but I come here and talk about wrestling. So am I IWC or not? IWC, there is no such thing. Actually, I know only about 5 or 6 wrestling fans (outside of the internet). But none of them get online to find out information or news. They just watch TV and take what happens at face value. It's just like with any tv show, there are people who like the show and watch every week, and a minority who are super fans and want to find out every last detail and/or discuss it on a forum like this one. Really? They never check out even WWE.com? They didn't get curious as to whether or not Punk's contract expired at midnight? I find that bizarre. Maybe it's because I am the kind of guy, who, when into something, finds out as much as possible.

I found it ironic, that this is still the "internet fan base" When the majority of American society is being pushed into an internet life style. So really the question is...Is this the IWC aka the snarky internet wrestling fans or a forum for wrestling fans with a bit more investment...oh and speculating, speculating, complaining, fantasy booking, Cena is poopy, what if, speculating.
The IWC argument has about as much steam as the "Attitude Era Redux" desires....None, nothing, zilch, nadda...

God, why can't we all just be regular fans? You know, where one "type" isn't more important than others? Some of use the internet, some of us don't. Some of us watch both shows, some of us watch one, some of us just keep tabs and check in when something piques our interest. Some of us like CM Punk or Daniel Bryan or [insert name here] and some of us don't. Trying to smish everyone into this tiny little niche box and then subsequently arguing about it is exhausting and it sucks the fun out of everything. I feel ya. One of my least favorite things about these forums are the perceptions of casual fans. You know, they're a bunch of dumb yah-hoos that luurve John Cena and hate "real rasslin", and ruin it for all us "real fans" because they have no attention span and no LOVE for THIS BUSINESS and all that. Its a crock, any of the 5 million Americans that watch Raw weekly can come from any walk of life, have any kind of taste in what they enjoy in wrestling, can have any other outside interests, etc. Maybe some people watch for Santino, because he's hilarious. Maybe they watch because they like the athleticism, or the campy acting, or even because its the most interesting thing on tv that night. All the "casuals" aren't just in it for muscleheads and Kelly Kelly.

Why are people obsessed with having a unique point of view? Here's a better question. Why are people obsessed with making sure anyone with a unique point of view shouldn't have one? It's not the differing PoV, it's the presentation. It's one thing to disagree. It's another thing to see a bunch of people happy and enjoying the moment, and proceeding to piss in their collective Cheerios.
