To be fair, Kevin Nash got a ton of sh** for tearing his quad walking across the ring. Of course he got a ton of s--- for it. He "can't wrestle". If you "can wrestle" and you trip and break something, every excuse in the world is made for you. It's funny, a few weeks ago, there was a post on this board where multiple people said a good worker is someone who connects with the audience while having a good in-ring safety track record. Yet, plenty of wrestlers who fit that description are ripped apart all the time. And the man who is THE definition of that.. Hulk Hogan.. gets slammed from not being able to wrestle.

And a statement like this just kind of proves the point I was making in my last post. People get injured. Like someone said, wrestling is a sport where getting hurt is an inevitability. And sometimes they happen when you least expect it. Did Kevin Nash expect to blow out his quad walking across the ring? Nope. Did Hayabusa expect to break his neck when he was going for a lionsault/quebreda? I doubt it. Did D'lo Brown expect to put Droz in a wheelchair while delivering a move he had delivered before? Absolutely not. Yeah, Rey has injured himself and plenty of other wrestlers, but has he ever done it due to lack of experience? You have seen him wrestle right? He's rarely works that sloppy. And hey, not everybody can pull off a picture perfect dropkick every time. Sometimes you're gonna get less height then you want. Sometimes you're gonna kick the guy in the face. We're all human and we all make mistakes. But the chances are that a veteran is going to have drastically less of a chance of doing that than an inexperienced rookie. And it's not just the divas either. Tell me. Who would you feel more comfortable working with? Rey Mysterio or... Jacob Novak? Lance Storm or Ricky Ortiz? Randy Orton or David Flair? The difference between Rey and Alicia is that Rey has instincts to where he can cover a mistake like that far better than Fox could. The latter would probably just do the same spot again in hopes of making people forget about the previous flub. Say I'm going to hire someone to help build a building with me. A very difficult project that I want done in the best way possible. Am I gonna be more comfortable working with the experienced veteran who has built thousands of buildings and who has had a few accidents before or am I gonna go with the green rookie who has barely built anything before and isn't known for having the best craftsmanship anyway? So yes. There is a double standard... between people with experience and people without. My point has nothing to do with experience. Sure people with less experience are more likely to injure someone. I'm not debating that. I'm saying you got two wrestlers, Alica Fox and Rey Mysterio (and it doesn't need to be these two. Just two random superstars used as an example). Rey has injured multiple people, with simple moves as well as complex ones, and I'm not bashing Mysterio for injuring the occasional superstar, because accidents happen. Then you have Alica Fox, who hasn't injured a single diva, with her axe kick or with any of her other moves. Now if she had seriously injured superstars on a regular basis, then people would completely be in the right to say she is dangerous, and should stop doing the moves she's injured superstars with. But seeing as she hasn't, there's good reason to believe that there is a deeper reason why she, as well as a number of other divas get hate. The reason people hate Alicia's move I think is not because "it's dangerous", it's (in my opinion) absolutely awful. It's slow, the other person has to lower her head significantly because she can't jump, and it's been done in several variations by a lot of other people (and for the record, I hate when they do it too). Judo and aikido has 5000+ plus moves in their arsenal, wrestling probably just as much (including submissions). WHY can't somebody in the organization get off their ass and show each girl a move that'd take 5 minutes to learn??? It's not that people on her are "hating" on blondes- they hate that NOBODY is doing the job of properly training them. People aren't witch hunting so much as fearing what happens if/when a diva gets critically injured. If you dislike the move, that's fine. I can kind of see why people wouldn't like it. But the reason most people on this board hate the move is because they think she'll injure someone. And they make it very clear that's how they feel everytime her name is brought up. And just think about it. She's been on the main roster for 3 years + the time she was in developmental, and must have done the move 100's of times to various people yet no word of anyone getting injured. Doesn't all those facts make it a little silly to fear for the other divas safety everytime she's in the ring?

Guys like Vader, Stan Hanson, etc get praised for how stiff and physical they work. Yet Alicia is "unsafe" and "sloppy" despite the fact she has never hurt anyone. Frankly I think it should be across the board for everyone. The point of pro-wrestling is to make it look like everything you do hurts like hell.. without hurting people. Anyone can go out there and punch someone in the face legit, that doesn't take skill.
