Not only does Randy Orton look like a giant next to him but the way he won the title just frustrates me
I don't like Rey. Never have and never will. I can see why others like him though...
However the way Rey is being booked is ridiculous. Angle looks like he could make him tap in 6 minutes... Oh WAIT HE DID THAT ON SD
This is ridiculous. Isn't the champ supposed to be the guy who is undoubtedly the best? I mean the GUY TAPPED out twice in less then a week (Though the second was behind the refs back)
I really hope Angle gets the belt back as soon as possible because Rey does not seem like world champ material... There's a reason he was booed in Chicago;....
BTW the only reason Rey is champ or ever would be is because Eddie is dead. Plain and simple
I'm even hoping Randy beats him this Friday though I would rather have Angle win it

You could argue that he is the ultimate underdog champ.
And at Wrestlemania, Rey won without making Angle look weak.

Angle deserves both titles and should only feud with Triple H and Edge. He should also unify the US and IC title into both his WWE/World titles and then win the tag straps, alone.

Rey Mysterio is quick though. He always tries to outsmart the wrestlers he's in the ring with by using his speed and quickness.
Rey also was starting to get over, and even before he used the Eddie stuff which I hated, he was competing with the World Champ and wrestling in some big matches. So it was only a matter of time.
The kids like him, the adults appreciate his ability. One of my personal favourite internet stories was at this house show, Rey Mysterio wrestled a match that was so good, Vince McMahon went up to Mysterio and gave him a big hug. Well, it's my second favourite, next to the story about Vince having sex with Linda while he was talking to Al Snow about his European Title gimmick.

I agree it's an absolute joke. People are not going to buy tickets to see a mini goblin defend the title.

Rey was over no doubt.... But he would have never gotten the title if Eddie died simply because of his size...
And I loved how he was booed at WM 22

I agree it's an absolute joke. People are not going to buy tickets to see a mini goblin defend the title. Rey Mysterio segments are routinely the highest rated on Smackdown.

And I loved how he was booed at WM 22 He wasn't booed because they didn't want him to win. He was booed because they didn't want Angle to lose.

HAHAHAHHAAH To quote Angle "That little Mexican jumping bean" can't do jack And I'd like to see where exactly it's written that Reys segments are the highest. I did like it when he TAPPED last Friday though

I'll make it a little easier to understand then. The match had two faces. The crowd wasn't so much against Rey as they were rooting for Angle. They were forced to choose someone to cheer for and Angle was the man. If Rey wasn't over, they wouldn't have popped for him when he won. Simple as that.

I know what your getting at but your logic in this situation is wrong. In a Rey vs Orton match YES they want Rey to win. They don't "hate Rey" But there champ in this situation is in danger of losing his title. And they like him better then Rey SO THEY WANT REY TO LOSE. But at the end they accept Rey is champ so there cool to cheer.

For a second there, I thought you were going to say that Vince came out during Rey's match and had it cut short just so he can cut a promo (I think this happened here in Long Island in August 03 during a Rhyno/Tajiri match). Still, Rey's over and it's not as bad as Cena winning, so I'm happy.

This stupid "Rey's too small to be World Champion" is exactly the kind of reasoning that has put people like Sycho Sid in the main event. Get over it. Talent, not size, decides your ranking. Rey has talent. And personally, I find comments like "Mexican jumping bean" to be just this side of racist. I don't care that you're quoting Angle. But as far as his booking goes, I agree that they've failed to play to Rey's strengths and have generally made him look like a weakling when he actually does have ability and can be made to look like a quite formidable opponent. He did damn near NOTHING in the Royal Rumble but get his butt kicked. He won the Royal Rumble WHILE getting his butt kicked. He was PINNED defending his championship shot. Who the hell comes up with this garbage? Oh, right, they did this same thing to The Rock in 2000. Well, I guess they figured if they did it to Rey, they'd have a blockbuster main event like they did at Wrestlemania 2000...oh, wait... I'd rather give him a chance to grow into the title and hope that the creative team stops making him look like a punching bag that miraculously happens to be heavy enough to keep a guy from kicking out at the right time. Rey's too good a wrestler for that kind of nonsense.

It's very simple.... no its different..its like it wasn't like they didn't want Rey personally to win..it coulda been ANYONE else..and they woulda booed him.. as for those saying i liked the boo's and hes a midget goblin.. grow up..how would you like to be booed when you run youreself to the ground to entertain people, and well..this Midget Goblin sells merchandise n stuff..infact....i'd say when it comes to merchandise..hes up there with the likes of Cena plus he deserves it, we've had pure wrestlers, hosses and no talent crap with the belt..why not one of the best high flyers ever to grace the ring? hes champion, deal with it
