If stuff starts coming out on Thursday, it'd probably be best to change the name of this topic to "Official Hardy Trial Thread" or something.

If Jeff goes to jail, then we'll see a visibly upset Matt in front of the courthouse cutting a promo.

What is this court case about? Drug possession? If so, what a god-damn waste of tax-payers money and a monumental waste of time. If it is something more than that, I'll be happy to amend any comments.

First of all I don't think he should go to jail or even be bothered at all. Jeff Hardy is the victim here no matter how you look at it. I'm totally against any drug prohibition but I won't go into why so that I don't break rules.
Second of all there is no way he will do jail time. He will walk with probation after taking a plea bargain. That is why this is taking so long. His lawyer is trying to get a better plea bargain.

Sorry, Jeff Hardy's a victim by willingly possessing contrabands?

If it is something more than that, I'll be happy to amend any comments. It's possession with intent. Basically, the cops found a crapton of various substances including steroids, an admittedly minor amount of coke, and a ton of other stuff. The claim was "personal use" but with as much as they found, the DA pretty much said "no way is all of that for personal use".

To the surprise of no one, the case has been delayed again. According to Pro Wrestling.net, the hold up is that a civil case is using the courtroom. Jeff's case could theoretically be called at any time, but its not likely to happen today.

Whether you agree with the law or not, the fact is that he is in violation of the law as it currently stands. He's only a victim of his own poor choices.

Ok.....the Minimum sentence, for a first time offender is generally between 4-8 months per charge for intent to distribute a Class II Substance.
As far as the continuances go, the fact that we're no longer getting Dated appearances is a good thing. It mean that we're at the "Hurry Up and Wait" phase, essentially meaning that as soon as a Courtroom and Judge/Magistrate becomes available it can proceed.

Hardy will get Rehab, Community Service, and Probation along with a fine and at worst house arrest. Wither or not you think that Hardy's case is prohibition he still broke the law, BUT the American jail system is so overcrowded that this being his first major offense they will keep him out of jail but give him a ton of other BS like Probation, Rehab, Community service, and fines just to send him whatever weak message they can.
