im surprised the court judge hasnt thrown it out since the prosecution has asked for no less than 5 continuances. it was entrapment at its finest and they even mighta screwed that up. See, this is why I can't deal with most of the guys who defend Hardy. They make asinine comments like he was set up. I'm dropping this topic like a baby. you must just eithr not lik hardy........or ur against people who use any kind of drugs. im still wondering why he's on trial when lindsay lohan just got caught with coke for the 6th time and it was the same time she violated hr probation and shes off the hook completely

im still wondering why he's on trial when lindsay lohan just got caught with coke for the 6th time and it was the same time she violated hr probation and shes off the hook completely Two reasons 1. Hardy got caught with enough to get charged with trafficking. That's a bit harsher than what Lohan has been caught for. 2. It's North Carolina. North Carolina has some of the toughest drug laws in the United States. Cali's punishment has nothing on North Carolina's.

North Carolina has some of the toughest drug laws in the United States. Cali's punishment has nothing on North Carolina's. True on both counts really. and let's add a few other bits here too. 1. Lindsay's last conviction was for a DUI, not possession.....completely different crime, in a different state. 2. NC's drug laws are some of the harshest in the country. Not to push this into a lockable territory, but the state has a history of harsher than average punishment in general but especially in for Drug Charges. In a Meth-Heavy state, imposing harsher penalties is the way that they've chosen to deal with the problem. Imposing harsher penalties for certain lower Schedule controlled substances means that they then have to raise the penalty for the higher schedule ones in turn. 3. Instead of whining/dithering about the legality....we should probably JUST focus on the fact as we know them. If Hardy WAS Entrapped, don't you really think that the defense would have moved to dismiss it by now instead of settiling for continuances?

Entrapment?
With the amount he's alleged to have had?
Right.

Entrapment? With the amount he's alleged to have had? Right. People are claiming that the Package was planted, ergo "entrapment". Still doesn't explain the residual cocaine in the home, or the behavior since (Which while damning at times is inadmissable)

I see american tax dollars are being well spent. Can I ask a question here? How in the Hell is this constructive or adding to the discussion? 1. We CANNOT discuss the actual politics of the accusation (Wasted tax money) and the posing of the question seems to be baiting. 2. It's a STATE issue, not a federal one. There are no "American Tax Dollars" outside of the state of NC going into this. Hell I'd venture further to guess that this is a COUNTY issue. Meaning that the only people who's money is "wasted" are those within Moore County. Essentially, unless you're a resident of the area...YOUR taxes aren't being "wasted" in any way.

There's also the fact that walking in front of a judge and asking for a continuance doesn't exactly cost a million dollars.

From PW Torch:
Jeff Hardy's next scheduled court date in Moore County Superior Court is September 8, according to the North Carolina court system's public records.
In late June, it appeared Hardy's case would be wrapped up. A judge was scheduled to rule on whether Hardy could be admitted to a drug rehabilitation program in lieu of jail time stemming from his drug possession-related arrest.
Instead, the case appears to be continued to the near-two-year anniversary of Hardy's arrest on September 11, 2009 that set in motion the ongoing legal process.
In April of this year, Hardy's case was continued after a drug counselor became involved in the case to assess whether Hardy should undergo a drug treatment program. The assessment was at the initial stages, which caused the case to be continued to June.
Its not looking like this will be resolved before the coming 2012 apocalypse. Oh well...

Why hasn't he been fired yet? Dude should have been fired as soon as he went to the back after the Sting match.
