From the front page I almost expected this to be "Russo Accused of Plague". Which wouldn't entirely surprise me.
So let me get this straight. Russo is accused of ripping off a guy who's gimmick is based on a comic book villain who's been around since the 40's? The only thing that makes sense about this is a story about plagerism and claiming credit for the work of others leads directly back to Bob Kane.

A writer/booker stole something in professional wrestling. Well, jimity christmas. Like, the guest booker series, basically guys say, well, I stole this from so and so, and he stole that from so and so and so on.. Original ideas are very hard to come by in wrestling.

It just seems kind of funny that the guy who wrote the original article wants to put PWO and TNA on the same wavelength as Powerbomb Championship Wrestling.
Now, I've never been to one of their shows, but their website is so rinky-dink that Universal All-Pro Wrestling's (aka the other wrestling outfit in Toledo) website is better by leaps and bounds.

That guy looks more like Matt Hardy than Sting.

Yeah getting tired of everyone trying to channel Heath Ledgers Joker, and this is the worst case to date. He's stolen EVERYTHING from Heath's character... and I mean, EVERYTHING. Yeah I'm completely tired of that as well. Its like the default way to appear edgy and disturbed now.

You can say the samething for TNA Touche. Still, the guy openly says he ripped off his gimmick off the Joker, and still acts like he was ripped off here for ripping off someone. The movie came out in 2008, and how many damn wrestlers in WWE or TNA had "Joker-like tendances"? Jeff Hardy? Edge? Hell, I've RPed with the mod called Joker here in an efed, and who was his character basis? Calender Man! No, I'm kidding, it was Joker. Also, while Krimson is doing Ledger's voice, Sting at least sounds like Sting, and at least is a crazy face than typical goth Raven/Vampiro/Kevin Sullivan heel. I'd just like to say that if more people ripped off Calender Man circa Long Halloween, things would be more interesting.

This just reminds me of that one Halloween episode of "The Office" where 3 of the guys showed up dressed as Ledger's Joker.
Also, when the HELL are we gonna get a short, chubby wrestler who comes to the ring wearing a top hat and monocle, and uses an umbrella as a foreign object?!

This thread title confused me. I was wondering when Crimson actually acquired a gimmick.

This thread title confused me. I was wondering when Crimson actually acquired a gimmick. Seriously. Even GUNNER has more of a gimmick than Crimson.

Yeah man he's been using it for years. Bob Kane had a time machine and traveled to the future and based The Joker off of this guy.

That's pretty sad considering I went to UAPW's site because they have a show on the 9th and there's absolutely no information on it.

This thread title confused me. I was wondering when Crimson actually acquired a gimmick. To basically summon it up....a indy wrestler name Krimson is accusing TNA of stealing his ring name (Crimson) and gimmick (Sting Joker) after he send them video and info about himself hoping to get a job with them.

Which is funny cause Bob Kane would have others do the artwork and claim it as his own. Also he cut Bill Finger out of creating Batman. AND Jerry Robinson created the Joker, not Kane.

Seriously? Anyone with half a brain could tell that 1. the name thing has happened several times before now (and they're spelled differently, anyway), and 2. the gimmicks aren't the same! Sting's really freaking crazy. Krimson's a nihilistic cult leader. The day that Sting starts brainwashing jobbers and spitting up "bloody" mist, then yes, infringement can be claimed. Until then, this is a case of STFU.

I wondered when this topic would get here. Didn't want to post it myself as it'd be spreading nonsense.
Danny Rodd really disappoints me with stuff like this. He spends all of his time quelling the controversial rumours about 1PW...and then he starts stuff like this.
I want to get behind 1PW as they've really been victimized lately, but this kinda thing makes it hard to.

There are so many great things to accuse Russo of...why go with this completely inaccurate one.
