That guy looks more like Matt Hardy than Sting. That's kind of funny, seeing as WCW stole Matt Hardy's character of High Voltage after he sent them a tape as well.

Off topic, but I have a big problem with how they've handled Crimson.
So he debuts as Amazing Red's brother, I'm fine with that. But then after like one week (IIRC) they pretty much separate and have close to nothing to do with one another. So like why did they debut him like that at all. They could have at least tagged for a spell before. It feels so pointless.

You can say the samething for TNA Touche. Still, the guy openly says he ripped off his gimmick off the Joker, and still acts like he was ripped off here for ripping off someone. The movie came out in 2008, and how many damn wrestlers in WWE or TNA had "Joker-like tendances"? Jeff Hardy? Edge? Hell, I've RPed with the mod called Joker here in an efed, and who was his character basis? Calender Man! No, I'm kidding, it was Joker. Also, while Krimson is doing Ledger's voice, Sting at least sounds like Sting, and at least is a crazy face than typical goth Raven/Vampiro/Kevin Sullivan heel. Well, to be fair, Sting sounds less like Sting, and more like Jim Carrey, but that's entirely irrelevant to this discussion.

He was just some random rookie that they hired as a warm body to do a one-shot appearance as a joke: "hey look, tiny little Red has a REALLY big brother, LOL". But they saw something in him when he performed out there, and signed him to a contract and just forgot about his introduction.

Claims like this annoy me, because they force me to side with Vince Russo.

From the front page I almost expected this to be "Russo Accused of Plague". Which wouldn't entirely surprise me. So let me get this straight. Russo is accused of ripping off a guy who's gimmick is based on a comic book villain who's been around since the 40's? The only thing that makes sense about this is a story about plagerism and claiming credit for the work of others leads directly back to Bob Kane. Which is funny cause Bob Kane would have others do the artwork and claim it as his own. Also he cut Bill Finger out of creating Batman. AND Jerry Robinson created the Joker, not Kane. Yeah, that's what I was driving it.

Well, this dude got the attention that he wanted I guess. I have a hard time believing that this was done for any other reason but a shot at publicity.

He's had a few shots to get into the WWE and TNA over the last few years, but things just didn't go his way. Now, between working as a substitute teacher somewhere in the Toledo School District and hitting his peak as a wrestler, he's starting to get desperate for attention.

So if Russo is using your ideas, where does that put YOU at? You out Russo'd Russo bad enough that he decided to steal from you.

Why? You said you may be missing something. If you see the Dark Knight, you won't be missing anything. You'll get it. I am put off by the idea of Comic book movies that try to hard to be realistic. That or I just want to take the contrary position on things sometimes,to the effect that since everyone says I should see it I won't. It follows the same realism as many Batman comics. It's not like in every series he had a spaceship or something.

*Yawn* When this guy (or Sting) starts planting cell phone bombs in people's chests without them knowing, then we can talk about ripping off Ledger.
This also makes me think....
If Sting is supposed to be a cross of Ledgerjoker + Jim Carrey's over-the-top manic-ness + a Catchphrase of "It's Showtime"...
...doesn't that basically make him Beetlejuice?

As someone who works in a creative field, I've never understood threatening legal action towards a place you want to work at. If you think you're good and would like to work there, is winning a nominal fee in a court case worth burning a bridge? To me, no.
True story...I submitted scripts to a TV show last year in hopes of working there. Didn't get hired. During the season, a part of the show had some striking similarities to what I submitted. Too bad for me, but I don't think they stole them. Nor would I accuse them as stealing ideas. Somebody else just came up with an idea similar to mine.
Maybe I'm naive...but oh well. Ideas are disposable. Everybody has them. Everybody has new ones. I'll just come up with better ones. That guy should use this as a golden opportunity to come up with a better gimmick.
And in fact, at most places in a creative field, if you send them sample material in hopes of getting hired...they own the rights for air on their show/film/etc. They won't sue you for doing your own idea (you may have to pay a small fee that's like peanuts), but it protects them from guys like Crimson/Villain from suing them.
But yeah. And I've watched PWO. The CK3 gimmick was lame the couple times I saw it. Kind of came off like a HHH/JBL hybrid ripoff. And then he does the Joker.
Come up with something better, and don't threaten legal action. Maybe you'll get hired.
