I can't make up my mind on whether or not I feel sorry for Harris. There's always the Lance Storm argument of him showing up to the biggest stage of them all in the worst shape of his life, yet the legend of Braden Walker has to be killing him. He brought it on to himself but it kind of sucks that it seems to be costing him a career.

it was really worth bringing him in *rolls eyes* It totally was, I think. The match he and Hardy had against Beer Money told an amazing story, one that I'm glad to have seen. Great bit of closure to the whole Americas Most Wanted situation, whether it was intentional or not.

Well at least catering won't be doubling in costs, after all.

So he gets another chance to erase Braden Walker from our memories, and instead he just gives the internet more material. Fail, Chris Harris.

So.... I hear Chris Harris and Matt Hardy were in a same company before. They ate all the catering and they had to shut down that company.

Just one brand. And it did take a few years for their full effect to be felt. But yeah, I think the fall of the ECW brand can be solely attributed to their eating habits. So TNA had three major returns on or around the Sacrifice PPV (Harris, Chyna and Foley), and now all three of them are gone, never expected to be seen in TNA again. That's some great foresight there guys. You can't even call this bad luck since I think everybody in the universe not in charge of TNA pretty much saw all this coming a mile away.

I can kind of/sort of see why he was so big, because he was trying to put on weight and convert it to muscle, but failed to do in the WWECW. But, that was 2008, if you are still that big in 2011, he deserved it.

Well, TNA's foresight has sure been worse. Remember when they centered an entire storyline around the Main Event Mafia with only Scott Steiner a sure thing? At least these guys were not only signed, but all performed. That's gotta count for something.

Well in defense of that, I don't think anybody would've expected Nash to sign with the WWE or for Sting to stall contract talks as long as he did. Everybody expected Harris to show up out of shape and Chyna to be a mess. As for Foley, even before his "empty arena" comment, it was known he only had a few months left on his TNA deal and had publicly stated he wasn't particularly happy with the direction TNA was going. As poorly planned as the Main Event Mafia reunion was, it atleast looked like a good idea that could work on paper. These incidents never looked good on paper and were basically inviting disaster.

It's a shame that the guy can't/won't get back into shape. He had a lot of potential.
Heck, during the last days of the TNA Weekly PPV era, they made Harris look like a legit threat to the NWA World Title. I think Storm was out with an injury or something, so they gave Harris a HUGE believable singles push. He was pretty damn good back then.
And a couple years later, that Harris vs. Storm street fight or whatever it was on Impact one time was one of the best things TNA's ever done, IMO. Great brawl.

Chris Harris would have worked great if TNA had stayed regional and southern. He would have done well in promotions like the USWA in the early 90s or WCW in the early 90s or even the WWF, given the right gimmick like Justin Hawk Bradshaw or Bart Gunn.
But the guy just doesn't have the "IT factor" even when he's in great shape.

But, that was 2008, if you are still that big in 2011, he deserved it. Also, I've read he's visited friends backstage at various Impacts and PPV's so he could have gotten in shape a bunch of times and showed it to management, make a decision to rehire him easier. It just seems like he got down on himself and stayed down.
