This in response to his detractors within the locker room supposedly.
Now could this pose a problem in the near future? Also could Rock then think "stuff it, why should I bother?".

I'm curious as to how widespread it is now. "how many" would indicate a fair bit, not just the 2 guys that were vocal.

I hope that the Rock cuts a heel promo on the entire locker room before he leaves again.

I hope he gets it and leaves again...I'd rather see Dolph, Kofi & Wade earning their $$$ after years of hard work, than old stars coming back for another fat paycheck

Is it Rock's fault if WWE failed to make Kofi and Barrett relevant ? I love how everybody blame The Rock for WWE not be able to create new stars like if he was head of creative

For a bunch of oversized, muscular, grown men, they sound as catty and petty as a 13 yr old high school girl.

No, everyone else is not banking off that 'fat paycheck'. Why is that being said all the time. Cena, yes, a few others, maybe not.

It seems to me that they're really taking their frustration out on the wrong guy. As far as I know, it's not Rock's decision as to where he's placed on the card. It's also not his fault that certain people aren't getting over, as he's not the one actively holding someone like Wade Barrett or Jack Swagger back.
Maybe they should take their problem up with the people who actually make those choices instead of The Rock.

If you're on a PPV with The Rock, you damn sure are banking off of it. Buyrates for WM are going to go up, meaning payouts are going to go up. And the main goal of wrestling is to make as much money of possible, for everyone involved. Also, The Rock brings in a different demographic, some of who will stay, giving exposure to the newer generation.

We'll there has only been a handful of bonafide main eventers that have came out the midcard since 2008, is that The Rocks fault too?

Everyone that has a main event should get a pay increase of buyrates alone. Plus I think wrestlemania "should" operate like a ufc ppv, and reward those who put together the best matches. but honestly, im havin a hard time believing ANY one of them would have a serious problem with Rock, its just too petty IMO

Yeah, but thats if you make the card, and it also depends on how big your match is. You think a guy would prefer to be in a main event at Mania or a MITB match with a slightly bigger buyrate?
Which is why the guys that are already main eventing are the ones who primarily get the 'fat paycheck'.

How do we know even know if anyone has been complaining? Isn't it still just a rumor at this point?

I like how all of these stories are complaining about Rocky "taking" a main event spot. Why do not hear any complaining about Jericho coming back after yet another sabbatical of touring with Fozzy only to get a WWE title/main event spot? If these stories are true that's who they should be complaining about, it seems to me that Jericho is taking that spot from someone that has been working towards a main event spot. Everyone knows that the Rock is one of the biggest stars in history and him coming back to wrestle in his hometown is a huge deal, I just can't fathom how anyone in the locker room could be so dense not to realize that. Which is why I don't buy all of these stories at all.

Jericho is back full time doing house shows and such, and last time he was there, most, if not all the current guys were around. Jericho is like Big Show and Kane taking breaks last year. When they are back, they're fully back.

ITS ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THIS COMPANY. WWE FANS, YOUNG AND OLD, SEE THE ROCK GETTING BUILT UP AS THE BIGGEST STAR EVER, FAR AWAY FROM THE LIKES OF MEANINGLESS MIDCARDERS LIKE ZIGGLER, KOFI, BARRETT ETC.
instead of further building up the future, Rock is being heralded as being above everyone else (except Cena), so let's get the big paycheck for WM, and after that, we continue with the same old stupid worthless midcarders drawing 100k domestic PPV buys every month. why watch them if the SUPERDUPERSTAR is gone?

Does anybody think this is all a work designed to get Cena some fan support, so that he's not totally the heel at Wrestlemania?

Yeah, but thats if you make the card, and it also depends on how big your match is. You think a guy would prefer to be in a main event at Mania or a MITB match with a slightly bigger buyrate? This is the way I always saw it. Someone like Randy Orton or CM Punk would probably make more money headlining a WM that draws 700,000 buys than being the 3rd or 4th biggest match on a WM that draws over a million. So while Rock is making the show more successful overall, he’s not helping their paycheck. It sucks for those guys, but their paycheck isn't the important thing. Making WM as successful as possible is all that matters to WWE. And The Rock in the main event will make more people purchase the show than if those guys in the main event. That's just how it is. No amount of complaining from these guys will change that fact.
