Well, it depends on when exactly this timeline is too, so we'll have to see.

Looks brighter than GTA IV so positive points for that.
This is going to be ****ing awesome. Only minor complaint, like someone already said, is they're doing the "I don't want to be in this form of work" storyline again. San Andreas? VCS? IV?

I wonder with the game going back to the San Andreas area if we'll see any characters from SA involved in the story.

It's not even 2012 and we might already have the GOTY for it.

It's not even 2012 and we might already have the GOTY for it. We already had the GotY for 2012, BioShock Infinite. Sorry, but gotta say, not impressed. Like already said, it seems like they'll be going back to, "I don't want to be a criminal anymore, I want to get out of the mafia/gang life and go legit" storyline that they've done several times before in the series. I will give them this, the game does look prettier than GTAIV, but that's to be expected as this game will be out 4 to 5 years after 4 came out. But I definitely will need more than just this trailer. So for now, GTA5 looks like a pass for me. I do think, however, that this game won't be just set in Los Santos, as some of the shots in the trailer showed non-Los Santos locations.

I'm hoping that they'll include Las Venturas in the game. I'm curious to see how Rockstar will depict Las Vegas.
Again, the game looks amazing and if the storytelling is anything like Rockstar's prior titles (GTA IV & Red Dead Redemption), then its got me sold already.

eh, might just be me, but I see this story going down more of a "I want to live a legit life, but a life of crime is what I know/it's too easy/too fun" type of path rather than the path previous games took, where it's like more like "I want to live a legit life, but circumstances within my life and community force me into a life of crime". Yeah, still the same general story, but can play out much differently.

Looks awesome. And it looks like it will have animals in it. Look closely at the start of the trailer near the life guard box.
I wonder who is narrating the voice sound familiar.

Actually watching the trailer again, makes me think they might do a slight twist to their usual storyline style. If you notice, they put a LOT of focus on the fact that the economy in Los Santos is utter shit(just like in real life right now), what with the big focus on showing that house being foreclosed, the guy with a panhandling sign, all the various going out of business sale signs, and a lot of shots of homeless people.
Add into the fact that the V and the Five text in the logo are based on money, makes me think this time they'll be doing more of a, "I want to live a legit life, but right now there is no money to be made living a legit life, so I have to live a life of crime, just to get by" kind of story. In other words, the main character(or characters, if the rumor of there being multiple playable characters is true) goes into a life of crime because of the shitty economy.
