eh, might just be me, but I see this story going down more of a "I want to live a legit life, but a life of crime is what I know/it's too easy/too fun" type of path rather than the path previous games took, where it's like more like "I want to live a legit life, but circumstances within my life and community force me into a life of crime". Yeah, still the same general story, but can play out much differently. That'd make for a very interesting game, I hope they go that type of direction. Dealing with a life that he knows is wrong, but he has no other choice - sign me up!

Thanks for the ribbon around "V," Rockstar. I, for one, never would have known that the letter "V," of all things, could actually represent the number five. ;D

The fact that the main character appears to a father with possibly young kids makes this game very intriguing.

The fact that the main character appears to a father with possibly young kids makes this game very intriguing. Totally. It's probably the most interesting aspect of the trailer, since we've never had a "Family Man" as the protagonist of these games. Never had a woman either, but I suppose the former somehow lends itself better to this type of game than the latter. Wait, have there ever been children in a GTA game? LA Noire had kids as part of the story (to interrogate, for instance), but not in the actual body of gameplay. I sincerely doubt kids will be added to the game world, but they could be an interesting addition to the story, since I don't see Rockstar pulling a Lucas and adding an annoying, precocious little shit just so kids will have somebody to relate to - seeing as how no child should ever be playing these games.

Some of the shots remind me of 'The Shield'.
If the game is multiple characters like rumored. I'm hoping one the playable characters is a Vic Mackey like detective. I mean real corrupt and stuff not like the goody two shoes you control in LA Noire.

Trailer looks impressive, but I might wait until more information comes out before I consider buying it.
And I thought the story was going to be "I don't want to be in this life of crime, but unfortunately a giant alien taco monster thing is using mind control to make me do the crime. Also he is always out of frame and so you never see him and no one ever talks about him because it's kind of embarrassing. And there are no parts of the story where you fight or work for said giant alien taco monster, but you know he's there because...you know...so anyway, DRIVIN' CARS SHOOTIN' STUFF PRETTY MOUNTAINS YEAH!!!"

Visually impressive, but kind of tried of the series. Will probably get it when the prices drops.

[Wait, have there ever been children in a GTA game? The closest was a baby in Vice City Stories, but the baby was in cutscenes.

Mind = blown. And I can totally buy that guy at the bottom as Niko, because it looks like this game will use more realistic character models, instead of the stylized designs in GTA4, so that could be what Niko looks like in GTA5's art style.

And I can totally buy that guy at the bottom as Niko, because it looks like this game will use more realistic character models, instead of the stylized designs in GTA4, so that could be what Niko looks like in GTA5's art style. We might get a Niko appearance, but I seriously doubt Claude, Tommy, CJ, or anyone from the GTA III era. There was an Easter egg in GTA IV, where some walls have graffiti with a collection of sayings like "RIP Claude, Tommy you will be missed," etc. for all the characters of III, VC, SA, VCS and LCS. So if that's any indication, all those characters are supposed to be dead by the time GTA IV occurs. I wouldn't mind if kids appear in the cutscenes, but I don't want them to be encountered in free roam. It would give game critics the worst s***storm ammunition they've ever had against Rockstar, and the video game industry as a whole, if you somehow are able to kill children in the game. Anyway, I get a feeling that if the protagonist does have children, they are more likely to be teenagers than little kids. Maybe he has to go back to the life of crime to get them out of a bind with their own issues.

If I heard correctly, it was said you could play as multiple characters? I wonder if theres a three story arc deal revolving around a broke Carl Johnson after several bad business ventures trying to live and being forced back into crime, a Tommy Vercetti trying to retire but can't due to losing his money somehow, and Niko...well I didn't finish GTA4 so may knowledge of him is limited.

Probably lost all his money due to having to take his cousin out for bowling ever other day.

Looks really good. Very happy that it's back in San Andreas.
Storyline wise there isn't too much you can do. I think the Family Man idea adds something of a new spin on it although I'll be shocked if the gameplay isn't still driving to various places to kill various people.
I just hope you can still go bowling in it.

The dog you can see on the beach in the trailer looks like a Rottweiler.
So makes me wonder if the game will feature a mini game of betting on underground dog fights. Or maybe even cock fights.
