Since his feud with Jeff Hardy. Not sure where that would put me on the poll. Other, I guess.

Since ECW I knew of him before then, but I don't watch much indy wrestling so had never seen him wrestle. Straight away though I became a fan. Same here. I had been aware of him previously but it wasn't until he debuted in the WWE that I was regularly watching him and became a fan.

I followed him when we got The Wrestling Channel, I enjoyed his work but had no idea he would make it this far, he was just so Indy, but kudos to him for maturing his gimmick and look very well.
What a feeling it was to know CM Punk won the World title on RAW off of Edge, a real surprise and it kinda broke that barrier on who WWE was willing to push.

Always liked him since he joined WWE, but it was not until they turned him heel and let him properly play on his "I am better than you" stuff that I really bought into him. One of the best ever on the mic.

I had heard a lot about Punk since around the time he started getting big in ROH. I bought the Best of CM Punk Vol. 1 DVD from ROH shortly after he signed with WWE (can't remember if he was already in OVW or was doing his last few ROH dates at the time) and that's when I really became a fan. Same here. I bought a lot of best of dvds involving CM Punk in ROH right after he debuted in OVW.

Hated him in 2009 when he cashed in on Jeff Hardy. Started to really like him after his heel turn.

I first heard about Punk during his feud with Raven (I actually first heard about ROH through that feud as well). I was a huge fan of Raven (and still am, one of my all time favourites) and reading about what he was up to caught my interest. The whole concept of Raven having his past drug issues and Punk hating him for that was really something that should have been seen on a national level. I also enjoyed his OVW stuff. This. I had heard of him from the Raven feud (big Raven mark) but didn't see him until his TNA run. Was liking him there, then I saw Punk/Joe II on ROH on the Fight Network a couple years later and that's when I became a huge fan

Since ROH. Punk vs. Joe II would've been the one that caught my attention.

I had very little knowledge of ROH in early 2005 (I'd only seen the first 2 shows in the company's history), but I was going to attend a show with some friends of mine. In an effort to prepare myself, I picked up whatever the newest DVD was (turned out it was Weekend of Thunder, Night 1).
The first time I saw Punk was his match against Austin Aries on that show, and I immediately became a fan of both guys. I can't remember when exactly, but I did wind up picking up his 3 ROH Best of DVDs before they sold out (I also have Aries's Best of, but that's neither here nor there).

Still not a fan.
He's more tolerable (to me) in his current face run than he was as "guy who mucks around in people's personal lives and often shoots on them", though.

I would say I became a fan of his with his ECW title win over John Morrison. GREAT match. Totally got caught up cheering for Punk to pull it off...and he did.

Since he joined ECW. I remember his original promo where he spoke about being Straight Edge. As someone who doesn't smoke, drink or take drugs I was interested to see how they were going to push him. So I watched him pretty closely and have been a massive fan ever since.

Since his ECW debut. After that, I looked him up and watched his matches from his ROH/Indy days and he instantly became my favorite wrestler.

Ever since he debuted on ECW. I've read a little bit about him on PWI before he came to WWE but never seen his pre WWE work and since he debuted on WWE, I've been a fan of his ever since

I've been a Punk fan from jump street. I was REALLY happy that his debut was met with a vote of confidence from a tough crowd.

I wasn't actually a CM Punk fan when I started watching ROH in 2004-5. I liked Aries and Joe a lot more. I only became a fan during his feud with Jeff Hardy.
