Not even a movie to tie up all the loose ends from its lone season. This is why I don't watch much new TV. Heartbreaking to get "involved" in a show only to have it ripped away from you.

Mine is a little odd of a choice, but...
Match Game.
Sure they'd need a new host and panelists now, but it would be nice if it could have continued from 73 to today, IMO.

Why did CBS cancel Press Your Luck? I loved that game.

Why did CBS cancel Press Your Luck? I loved that game. That's a good question. Maybe the pride amounts plus the cost of running that board was too high to keep up for more than 4 seasons.

Shooting Stars. It may not have been as funny as it was back in the 90's but it was still damn funny. Angelos is the comedy find of recent years. It recently won a Comedy Award, yet the BBC cancelled it and keep shit like Jon Culshaw doing unfunny impressions.

How soon after the one guy cheating did it go off the air? For those that don't know: Original Press Your Luck used one of 3 patterns to determine the sequence of lights on the "Big Board". Somebody figured out the pattern AND the one they were using on his appearance to basically keep spinning for most of an episode, netting slightly over $110,000 Dollars in cash and prizes. The show originally ran for 2 years(84-86), then was picked up for 8 more by USA (87-95) and ran for 8 more in syndication on GSN (2001-2009).

I will miss One Life to Live. I hope Vicki, Cole, Bo, and Ford live. I never liked Ford but I don't want him to go out like that. All My Children had a really disappointing final episode which ended in a cliffhanger. I can't speak towards OLTL since I don't watch, but I feel bad. Soaps and their fans are in it together. AMC's ending didn't bother me. I know I'm the minority, but I was cool with it. I'm more irritated that I won't know what happens with my beloved David, Cara and their baby

The Michael Larson episodes were taped May 19, 1984 and aired on June 8 and 11 of 1984. Press Your Luck's original run was from September 19, 1983 – September 26, 1986. After the Larson incident, they found a way to increase the number of patterns from 5 to 32 or so to try and prevent another incident like that happening. Look up on YouTube "Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal" for more info.
