I'll gladly do one if no one else wants to do it...kidglov3s can do it this week, and I can do next week. I thought of a good one to do, of a genre which has yet to be done on the F.A.N. Movie Club...

Yeah, time for people to step up. Oh and comment on the films too, that would help. Step Up... you say? (I'm sorry I don't comment on films I want to do better) I can do this week if it's ok with you guys. Definitely. I understand if people are busy or the film is difficult to find. There are a ton of people on here, though, so I just wish we'd get more comments. The same people have commented or presented and that's awesome, just would be cool to get a few more on board. That's great, nocomments87. Diversity is a good thing here and different genres help with the discussion.

Ok, I'll go this week. It's a movie that's really easy to get but I don't know how many people would be into it. I'm always thrilled to talk about it, it's really odd and interesting to me.

Who wants to present next? Hmm, going to be careful with my words, lol. Any volunteers?

I wouldn't mind throwing out some suggestions as far as movies that aren't discussed too often.

Okay...to be perfectly honest, I don't know how people go about looking for movies, so I don't know how difficult it may be, hence why I wanted to list a few, in fact...I think I'll go for one per decade;
Angels with Dirty Faces-1938 A priest tries to stop a gangster from corrupting a group of street kids.
All the King's Men-1949 The rise and fall of a corrupt politician, who makes his friends richer and retains power by dint of a populist appeal.
Touch of Evil-1958 Stark, perverse story of murder, kidnapping, and police corruption in Mexican border town.
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?-1962 In a decaying Hollywood mansion, Jane Hudson, a former child star, and her sister Blanche, a movie queen forced into retirement after a crippling accident, live in virtual isolation.
Westworld-1973 A robot malfunction creates havoc and terror for unsuspecting vacationers at a futuristic, adult-themed amusement park.
Repo Man-1984 Young punk Otto becomes a repo man after helping to steal a car, and stumbles into a world of wackiness as a result.
L.A. Confidential-1997 As corruption grows in 1950s LA, three policemen - the straight-laced, the brutal, and the sleazy - investigate a series of murders with their own brand of justice.
I suppose if you want, I'll choose one and perhaps a runner up in case the first pick isn't attainable to most people. It's whatever you want it to be.

Those are probably the most findable movies on the list. I'd probably go in that order too, as long as people are on board.

Hulu's hard to search on, at least for me, but I think you can find most of them on there; a lot of them have criterion editions too.
You figure that L.A. Confidential is recent enough to be an easy rental. Touch of Evil and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? are readily available, I believe. Touch of Evil has a criterion edition and I think Whatever Happened... does too.
I think Repo Man and Angels with Dirty Faces would be easy enough to find. Westworld might be a bit harder but not too difficult; I see it streaming a lot on comcast. Don't know anything about All the King's Men tbh.

Well you'd think that a movie that won Best Picture would be easy to find...then again, it took me almost a year to find The Great Ziegfeld.
Let's go with Repo Man for now...it's a somewhat lesser known title from the 80's and it's fairly entertaining. If people are having trouble, we'll go to Touch of Evil, which you'd think should be readily accessible.

lol the three easiest to find were the only ones from that list I haven't seen and don't own but I don't know if I'd be able to watch them with both nursing school and work being really busy this week.
