Maybe we should set up a back up for every week? I usually watch at least one movie a week, in addition to what we watch, so I could lead a discussion if need be. I'm open to others being a backup in the same manner.

I can go. Are we going with a theme for the next go around or random movies again?

I can go. Are we going with a theme for the next go around or random movies again? I think a theme would be a lot of fun but I think it should be less restrictive than a genre or a director, though I can be flexible about it. I was going to message the poster who suggested the theme idea but he was one of the no showers for the last round (and if there was an issue why people couldn't go, no problem, just let the others know so we can substitute). What we need, more than anything else, is more interaction and people that are willing to commit to a week. I can go again and, if need be, have a few options I can run but I'd rather not have the same two or three posters present. Thankfully, the majority of the original posters on the schedule came through and some added on after we started, so good on them. Maybe we can do a nomination thread or the theme and have a vote?

I can go...but I think it would be best if we decide what direction to go in before we commit to another movie.

If we're going with "favorite movies" that haven't been presented yet I have an easy to find classic ready that I know is on Netflix and rental stores that I have one ready to go.

Would anyone like to go next? I have a couple of ideas but I figured I'd give some one else the chance to go first.
If not, depending on availability, I have in mind one of these films:
1. M 2. El Topo 3. The Big Heat 4. Eyes Without a Face

I thought Eyes Without a Face was fantastic, creepy and atmospheric. The actual procedure shown has this clinical eeriness to it. That said, I'm probably going with Lang's M because it's public domain and there's a ton of stuff to talk about. I really want to do either Errol Morris' Gates of Heaven or The Battle of Algiers at some point though.

It looks like "favorite" is the winner. I'd prefer a juicer theme, but ya gotta start somewhere. Problem for me is that I'm not sure what my favorite is, but a couple of candidates, Pulp Fiction and A Clockwork Orange, have already been done. I have a few ideas though...

Well, we can always do two themes, since people have either presented their favorite film/ had the film already presented or would rather have a different theme.
It could be, do your favorite film but, if not, do this instead and then think of a versatile theme.

Yeah, time for people to step up. Oh and comment on the films too, that would help.
